Received a call from one of the Trimper boys today. I was informed that the falling beam and torture chamber sound effects would be fixed this year. He happened to get his hands on some new digimac repeaters to replace those that were fried a few years back. He asked if I had any ideas for the new sounds. I was thinking that some screaming would be appropriate for the chamber (as clearly people are suffering), and I would really like them to bring back "watch out for the falling beam" from years ago. I wanted to put this in the hands of the forum members to see what you all think. If you have sound ideas, or can locate any mp3s on the internet that might work, please link them in this thread. sounds need to be digital so they can be recorded onto the new repeater. Thanks.

I'm on it! I love to hear them on my next ride. Maybe I could do a recording of watch out for the falling beam. I'll get to work as soon as I can!

The sounds have to be classic, or you know something that complements all the other sounds. This is really great that they are fixing them!

The two I'd like to see return are the hand in the toilet and the voice that yelled "There is no escape from the Haunted House."

Great! If possible, you should tell them to just restore all of the original and classic sounds that we know and love. That's my opinion on it anyway, classics never die!

...Uh, guys, sorry to burst your bubble, but as far as I know, the sounds you guys want to have are history, and are not going to all the sudden re-surface out of the blue, because they were fried...So we have to do whats in the ride's best interest and find a replacement sound, because the classics are long gone, and a soundless stunt is a scare-less stunt...so while the classic sounds are indeed a part of our dark ride in the sky, (which I have realized that a number of you are suffering stage one of grief over , because you are making your claims sound as though the "Watch out for the falling beam" sound clip is in each one of your own personal MP3 collections just waiting to be played again. You have trouble facing the truth that the time your mind is residing in is no more ) we must find R-E-P-L-A-C-E-M-E-N-T-Ssssss! AKA New Clips, AKA life for tracy's surviving stunts...
Here is my personally created an selected clip for the Torture Chamber: www.mediafire.com/file/wfywg5nmioz/Tourture Chamber.mp3 I'll be more than thrilled if Trimper's finds it a place in The HH! ;D

Perhaps a faithful re-recording of same of the classic sounds? I'm all for that idea. If we can't have them EXACTLY how they used to be, at least maybe there is a chance of closely duplicating them??...

Well as far as I remember, and from what I have read, I don't really remember any sound designated to the torture chamber...but they all need a sound as far as I'm concerened. So I have created one fro it in the link above. Please Download it and tell me what you think.

It sounds a bit corny. It needs to be something thats not from the internet, it needs to be in a mix of things. Maybe I can try and put some sounds together.

If the screams of the woman were more drawn out and faded away or echoed, and if there was another background sound that never stopped (such as howling wind, drops of water, etc.) I think it would be pretty great

Why wouldn't they make a backup of the sounds in case something happens? I rode the Haunted House in July, 2000 and it seemed most of the sounds were working then, the falling beam voice, the no escape from the haunted house at the torture chamber, etc. and the get out of my house! right before the outside balcony, if that was frankie who was thrown out, guess that sound's gone, too. I hope they try to preserve the remaining Tracy stunts as the ride wouldn't be the same without them, and try to preserve the sounds. Too bad that some of the sounds were fried, but they should have backed them up in case something like that happened. Even if they would have made CD-R backups and locked them in a fireproof safe in Trimper's office until they could dump them to a new sound cartridge. Are there any videos of the HH ride-through with all the sounds playing, I know Brandon or someone uploaded one to YouTube from even 1996.

Hey, I was wondering if these sounds are the kind of faithful style re-recordings you were looking for:
"Watch out for the Falling Beam" www.mediafire.com/file/adwzyddn0tm/HH Sounds - Watch out for the Falling Beam.mp3
"There is no Escape from The Haunted House" www.mediafire.com/file/0ggznunzmlg/HH Sounds - There is No Escape.mp3
"Get Out of My House!" www.mediafire.com/file/ymd3ztfwtry/HH Sounds - Get Out of My House.mp3
Tell me what you all think of these. While I have only heard the original Get out of my house clip, I would hope these all fit a faithful Re-recording status. Please, download them, and tell me what you think.

Just as an update to this, the last time I was down, we were in the HH shop for a few hours trying to get the Falling Beam sound to work. We actually recorded a new one that sounds exactly like the original "watch out for the falling beam" sound did. We realized that although the digimac repeater was working properly, all of our amps were shot. Chris ordered new amps and a few new repeaters, so this winter the plan is to make sure all sounds are operating as they should. A big problem is that there is 45 years of wire in the shop, which makes it confusing. Most of the wire that is all tangled up is not even being used. Hopefuly, we can clear out the old wiring and reorganize as well. Stand by.
