I found a picture of the hell n' back ride at rockaway playland. I also found a pic of some sort of mid way game with the hell n' back ride to the left. And according to the Bill Tracy project, Bill Tracy made a ride called the haunted house. The picture of the haunted house shows it was probably on the north west side of the atom smasher roller coaster. The pic of the mid way game shows its in the same location of the haunted house. I think it suggests that the tracy facade was removed or the ride was renovated. I also have a reason to believe the ride is a pretzel because I think I see pretzel cars in the loading area. if you look closely you will see them. the haunted house(lower part of picture): Hell N' Back: Middway game next to hell n' back:

These are excellent, many thanks for sharing! Were these taken from old pamphlets you had from long ago? And was that Hell N' Back a ride-through or a funhouse? Great finds!

No, I found them on Google. Also I think the Hell N' Back ride was renovated into the Haunted House. instead of the Haunted house being renovated into hell n' back(I saw the hell n' back ride in a picture of the midway in the 50's). Also the stunts from hell n' back are now inside the spook-a-rama ride at coney island if you didn't know. this ride was a ride through(I'm 99.9% sure it was a pretzel dark ride). Also I read the article at laffinthedark.com about spook-a-rama(it was written in 2003). I went on it for the first time last month to find some of the Bill Tracy( hell n' back) stunts not visible in the ride. Also very few of the remaining hell n' back stunts actually move .The only ones I remember moving in spook-a-rama were the devil stunt and the buzzard.

That Haunted House looks so similar to OC, MD's. It looks like it was a one-level since there's no second level balcony on the front. Rockaway's Playland closed in 1985 I saw on an article on laff or wherever. So, that Haunted House must have lasted through 1985, then was supposedly razed with the park? So NY/LI area had a similar Bill Tracy Haunted House through 1985?

Uh, Looks like there MIGHT have been a 2nd level balcony, but it's hard to tell.
