Sky Rocket!
(Of course, videos on any rides are pretty much prohibited, but if you ask nicely, they just might allow it.) And I'm just putting Sky Rocket out there; you don't have to take it, as I'll be going to Kennywood soon!

...Seems they denied COASTERFORCE of all infamous POV sites access to film the new ride (SnooSnoo snuck a camera on board for reactions though) I have to say that this really could be the last straw I have for Kennywood's sake...
Look:
>:(This is the same d**n POV that shows up everywhere. I can't believe they wouldn't even let COASTERFORCE do one themselfs...
>:(Kennywood and I have other issues though, but I might as well point out this issue with cameras on rides and the brainless staff who place rules against them all stem from the stupidest and most unrealistic scene ever in a horror film...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyYGmC3pmm8
(I'm not embedding it because it has some nudity; be forewarned)
How the hell does anyone believe this crap could happen? I highly doubt that any well maintained ride would critical damage this bad if a video camera where to miraculously land and in the process get warped around a rail while negotiating an inversion; while consequently having a porno filmed on-board. Yet all fears apparently stem from this unrealistic garbage that Hollywood calls a "Realistic Thriller"...
I Highly doubt Arrow built something that loopy too...Viper seems loopy, but not that bad...
Sorry, just had to get that off my chest...
Try to film Noah's Ark if you can film anything...

Yep, COASTERFORCE only got a mounted camera. Sad. I don't think a POV does Sky Rocket justice (or any other coaster or ride--one in particular! ). They're saying there is lots of airtime over the top of the first hill, then the first cliffhanger. There is also some airtime while you twist upside-down, too! It looks pretty cool. I was never really a fan of the Turnpike, even though they say they will bring it back soon. HaHa! I found myself laughing during that video! I say as long as the staff at a ride makes sure you have proper "strapping" for a video camera, you should be allowed to take it on board!

i got video of Garfield but ran out of card space on Noah's. I've had it with Kennywood too. every other ride breaks down while I'm in line and the rules are stupid. The new coaster is basically a wild mouse on steroids. It slows don alot. Knoebels is way beyond kennywood in my opinion now.

Ghostwood Estate!

IS AN EPIC FAIL! BRING BACK THE GOLD RUSHER! You right tomshutter; the Sky Rocket is quite a disappointment for a Premier Rides Launch coaster. They could have done better with the space provided. It reminds me of another ride that in the way it is compacted so tight in that area; and the ride is nothing short of over-hyped nonsense... FAHRENHEIT at HERSHEYPARKit's the same way with this one... It resembles a large compact carnival attraction; The park over-hypes it to death; and in all honesty, it's really not anything worth the wait in the end...
Hershey at least let me film The Comet, ;D and I'm sure they would have let me film more. I've learned to not ask and see what happens, and make sure the camera isn't out in the open while loading. It's easier to get it in that way.

I'm okay with Ghostwood Estate, but it's too light inside and you can see the car in front of you--both ruin the experience. You also have to stand through the pre-show room each time you want to ride... But I like to ride it many times, and I don't want to stand in there each time! I think Gold Rusher was better, just by a little, mainly because it was "traditional."
I think Kennywood could have done better with a regular haunted house; I don't really like the shooting in Ghostwood Estate.

Ghost wood estate is nice because of the theme but it's more of a game than a ride

I hate shooter dark rides; nothing happens unless you shoot something. Plus they always give me the car with the broken gun in it.

I never use the gun and shoot at the targets. Everybody else is already doing it so I just sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenes.

the recently-new toy story mania in Disney is actually really fun, its not a shooting game, but it has a spring-action shooter

I did it in California; That was the only one I considered fun; but then again, it's a Disney attraction, which means Kennywood can't be rated with it anyway.

West Mifflin, PA. It's near Pittsburgh...kinda'. What I like is as you go across the Rankin Bridge, (or at least, I do), you can see the tall rides up on the hill. It was built next to the river, so many rides offer a great view, and the Phantom makes use of the cliff.

Kennywood is a Park That has been False Advertising itself ever since they shut the Gold Rusher down, and started mass-modernizing. I like Knoebel's much much better.

I really like Kennywood, though, even if the new owners are making some changes. The atmosphere is great (something you can't get at parks like Cedar Point, where all there is is cement...), there are lots of very old coasters, and there are newer thrill rides that are pretty fun. I agree that they have been advertising too much for not amazing rides like Ghostwood and Sky Rocket. And there is a POV of Sky Rocket now on YouTube a rider took, if you wanted to see! www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAVWnjoQd4c

Yeah; But Kennywood still has pavement; and nothing; I mean nothing, can top Knoebel's atmosphere. Old Coasters, old rides; No Big Steel Coasters or stupid mass produced thrill rides to ruin the feel of it...

I want to ask everyone here something. Does anyone agree with me that Knoebels needs more safety features on the coasters? I went there last year and I swear, I'm not joking here, on the Pheonix I was actually almost going to fall out. So, I didn't even try going on the Twister. Anyone? The Pheonix only has a pull down lap bar like the Whacky Shack does.........it's INSANE!

Well, we can all concur that if thingy Knoebel thinks the Flying turns is running too fast for visitor comfort, we best d**n believe him!
Yeah; the restraints are minimal on their coasters; here's warning if the Gold Nugget had seat-belts, they are probably getting riped out. Me and my brother rode the Phoenix, and since both of us are much skinnier then most, we could't get the lap bar to touch our laps; the ratchet system was at the lowest it could go. I had about at least a good 6 inches or more between it an my body...
So we get to the top; the first drop; ahhh, that wasn't bad at all...turn, drop; ahhh; OH S**T! Me an Him Went airborne! We clung to the bar for dear life! ahhh, but that's the fun of the Phoenix. The air time...
The Twister is much better (not to par with rides like the Cyclone, Wildcat & Lighting Racer, but much stronger restraint system none the less) though it lacks seat belts; it has individual bars with a full locking system. I'll miss the old HSTC; it's lack of locking restraints and it's 40mph lift system from hell made it a legend amongst Kiddie Coasters.
I like Knoebel's; My favorite full fledged Park; (Trimper's is still on the level of 'smaller' parks in most ratings systems, so they aren't really comparable) and they run their coasters like no one else; I'll leave it at that. They haven't killed anyone yet...
