I know a few years back the park had some financial troubles but, have hey gotten out of them? I haven't heard anything in a few years.

They were never in financial trouble exactly, they were having trouble with being over taxed. Two difference here. The property was being taxed at roughly $200 per square foot I believe, which means a bench in the park could cost up to $2000 if it took up 10 square feet. Not fair. The property was being taxed based on potential use as space for condos and other buildings, not the parking lot full of games and rides that it currently is, and that is why the family had a problem with it. Selling tickets for .50 at a time, it makes it tough to justify keeping the business going for such high tax, especially considering they would instantly lose their profit margin which would affect the upgrades around the park like new rides, etc.
The is all over and done with, and Trimper's is currently doing well.
