I thought I would share a story about an interesting breakdown a witnessed on Friday. So I was hanging out at the HH that evening. I was walking around outside the ride and studying the amazing facade. I happened to glance over at the ride operator, and he looked very concerned. He walked over to the exit door and held it open for a while. All of the sudden he slammed the door shut and yelled "STOP"!!!! as he ran over to stop the ride. He ran back into the ride, and Scott followed him. There was no activity outside the ride for a while, and I thought someone had vandalized something so I was worried. Then a few security guards entered the ride, and I thought it was for sure a vandalism. But soon Scott escorted people out of the ride with a flashlight, and got the ride back up and running. I then rode it and everything was fine. And I found it ironic that this happened on Friday the 13th ha ha! Anyway, I thought this was very interesting to watch, and I'm happy everything was okay.

Great story. Thanks for sharing. I must have just missed you because I was down right after that happened and met up with Mike! Yeah, when the ride operators become familiar with the ride, they can tell when a car is coming out of the exit by the sounds inside of the ride. Not only the waterfall, but the sound of the clock, and the sounds the car makes when coming down the hill. He was holding the door open probably because he wasn't hearing the sounds and he was trying to see if any were coming. The happens probably once a day all summer, if you can believe that!

Wow! And yeah it looked like he was trying to hear something when he was holding the door open. Yep I think you just missed me! I was in OC until Saturday.
