There comes a point when we must ask ourselves, how much more can they add without taking our old favorites away? I mean, with the new door in the lobby, several of the infamous panels have been removed. Not gonna lie, even pulling out some of those panels tugs at the heartstrings a bit. They've ALWAYS been there up until now. If you think about it, there comes a point where they need to focus on athletics as apposed to new gags. Painting and touching up the old stuff. Finishing that new crooked hallway scene. Not adding new stuff for the sake of adding new stuff...
If you think about it, the ride used to, and still has somewhat of a general theme going from scene to scene. It's not just a bunch of gags one after the other. You start in the house, then everything gets turned upside down by the vortex tunnel. You try and escape through the graveyard and a shed outback (sawmill) but somehow end up back inside by means of the shrinking corridor. From there, you end up trying to find your way out, through the torture chamber. Other than the random encounter with the train, you have a very consistent order of scenes. How long is it before adding something new end up changing all of that?
After this season, I'd like to see them focus just on athletics, especially since it's going to be the big Five-O next year. I don't want to see one of the Tracy Classics fall short of their over-the-hill birthday because they decide to add a goofy new Scarefactory product.
