Like probably many others it's our tradition to hit the house every time we visit for an extended stay. One night sometime in the 90's we took a trip through the house during our summer vacation. It was the week after Labor Day, back when a large chunk of the tourist population cleared out Monday night.
Everything seemed fine in the lobby, we bought our tickets, hopped in a car waiting for us and went through.
At first we thought some changes were made but realized quickly that there we no lights at all inside the house! The car ran fine, I don't remember if there were sounds or not. Honestly, it was quite a scary ride.
When we exited we informed the operators that there were no lights inside. They reset a breaker and gave us a free ride back through the house that we knew and loved.
It was interesting going through both ways, I enjoyed both rides but always love looking at the stunts I've grown up to love. If there ever were an intentional 'Lights Out' night though, I certainly would do it again!

So awesome John! Thanks for sharing! With upwards of 100,000 riders in any given summer alone, things are bound to happen every now and then!

I think that would be too scary for me, especially if the house sounds were playing! I would know, because when I was little, I would close my eyes the entire time, making everything worse...
