There is talk of revamping the mold inside of the Revolving Barrel next winter. They would remove the green and orange rock mold and glue in something different, possibly something custom made by Scarefactory. The mold at the end around the dummy car would also need to be replaced, and I have a feeling the dummy car may be removed, but not sure yet. The mold may be of assorted skulls/faces/rocks. Have to wait and see so stay tuned.

Whatever they do, I hope they can work the dummy car into it. That's one of those classic scenes that I just can't see the ride without.

They should make it much more blacklight sensitive to make it very visible as it rotates....It doesn't have the impact to make you feel like it's moving right now even though it is in fact rotating....A good example is in Ripley's museum...Try walking through their tunnel without feeling the effect....It's because it's bright and vivid under black light to give it a lot of movement...I also rode Knoebel's Black Diamond this year and same deal....Their tunnel is very vivid....It makes the car your riding in feel like it's going to roll over on it's side...So in summary I'm saying it's more about bright colors to show movement than something highly detailed from Scare Factory....However, I do love Scare Factory stuff.....ZR

Forgot one more thing...Even though I really like the rotating car at the end....Making the end stationary with no movement is what really plays tricks on your mind to throw you off your senses...Again, walk through the museum's tunnel and they have a poster at the end of the tunnel that is stationary and that's what really throws me off....Maybe you could keep the dummy car at the end but have it not rotating....ZR

The Black Diamond tunnel REALLY messed with my mind! That'd be good to base it off of!

I just don't want them to get rid of the Barrel. It's true that the current paint is worn off slash covered in dust and seems hard to clean. If they do get rocks or something for a new pattern, hopefully it would be painted with the signature fluorescent colors.
