Hi, I've been reading this board off and on for the last few months, and remember seeing something about the HH stunts needing cleaned up, but I can't find the post. Anyway, does anyone know if indeed everything was cleaned? These wonderful Tracy pieces should be preserved and kept nice looking. We'll be in O.C. in August (we visit yearly), and always loved this ride. I wrote before about it being a near clone of the old West View Park Haunted House ride. Same facade and tricks.

The stunts have not been cleaned thus far, and depending on how many crew members they get this year, they might not be cleaned at all.
Usually the manager sends crew members around to dust, but they may not get to it this year.

I think some need some nice fresh glow paint, dusting of that ugly mold, and some touch ups. hey Brandon does Scott allow voulinteer groups like DAFE? To clean up the haunted house? They did a wonderful jobe on Fright Zone at some other park. Maybe we could ask DAFE to come down here and touch up and clean the stunts.

I think I missed the information on who is the manager or who owns or is in charge of the HH, but I know if I was, that I would clean the stunts myself or my family/friends would. For me it would be a labor of love : ) They look like they haven't been cleaned or touched up since the 1960's. Maybe it is laziness. Why bother to add things and revamp the ride, then not clean things???

Yes; I agree. I mean, they add new things, which are great, but then, they let dust and dirt collect for years, and new things can be ruined quickly. Like the Vampire/Count Drac. He was new a few years ago, and in more recent pictures, he already has a considerable layer of dust. A sixteen second wipe with a wet towel will fix that, and he will be good for another few years...
I think keeping the attraction clean is a top priority, even if riders don't necessarily notice it in the dark. So, CLEAN OFF BOLT ANNUALLY!! Why not? If the H.H. invested in him, why not keep him in perfect condition?!?
