Since both Tracy and Trimper have both passed on, I guess the true awnser to my question will never be found. But why did Tracy produce such oversized cars for this one ride? All of the other rides he built that I have seen so far had the plastic-kinda-lightweight shells. Why did Tracy go all-out for the HH, and build big, heavy, oversized wooden Coffins? Don't get me wrong. I do belive they are a part of the overall HH experince, but why? The other hushpuppy cars seem a bit lighter, and had to be much easier to remove if they malfunctioned. I realize the HH cars can be very very VERY problematic when they have a malfunction. And did all the hushypuppy cars have tiers? The idea of tires on darkride cars came around to me when I visited Knoebels and Realized that the back wheels were purely steel, without any covering. This Illiminates the problem of punctured or poped tiers. Why dose it seem to me that the HH cars are the most problmatic pieces of darkride art out-there? They are very creative, but a matnince nightmare compared to other darkride cars. Anyone have thoughts on this topic?
