Page 4, here we come... I have no knowledge of what's coming...but what's moving around is still to be determined, but it's not sounding all too great... Don't ask me anything else till it's out in the open, as I've said to much already...

Think like Canada. The haunted houses up there all have one thing in common- lots of air cannons! They also have bright lights that flash when walked by accompanied by loud noises. Add the air cannons in slow areas like upside down room(Hot air by the fire!), light above bat in shrinking tunnle, air cannon by rats, even one at the exit cue of the facade. Add more 3D paintings between the double doors. Put a painting of a zombie on the second floor door, gum looks like slime or rott. If anything is to be removed, I vote train tunnle, there's no point to it and it there could be better things there. Go to any halloween store on halloween, get discounts on cool stunts. Anything!, if no furniture could be added, dim the lights more!

I personally like the Train Tunnel; I just think it needs a good cleaning/possible remodel. But air cannons are great scares, of which there are not many in the Haunted House. An air cannon along with a jumping rat would be a cool combo.

I wish something cool (new) was added right at the end of the ride...maybe where the Alien woman is... When I was little, I would look in the exit doors and see that creepy, green, glowing alien face, and was really scared! Another prop should be added to accomplish that same fright-before-entering/just before exiting!

Another prop should be added to accomplish that same fright-before-entering/just before exiting! I saw the alien too. I think a noise maker would be good for it. Put it where the mummy was with a noise maker. Not a siren though, a drum roll or something.

1- double door should be added after the upside down room. Then, that entire area from then to the shrinking hallway could be converted into a cemetery. There are plenty of props available at spirit that could help and the saw mill would fit. Knit wit could be moved up to where vampire is and another jumping ghost added where she sits. This one would have a hood on, sitting in the dark corner only to emerge with a flash of light but no sound. This would extremely enhance the grave yard feeling if these suggestions were used. Also, the shrinking hall way could be redone to give the effect of a long drive way back to the house itself. What do you think? 2- The train, it should stay but needs to be redone. Here's my idea. step 1- take out the tracks and tunnle. 2- add 3D paintings on both sides with light but keep the train in darkness. 3- put a picture frame around the train and rig the sound to go off as a car passes. The HH now has a haunted art gallery. What do you think? Adding the clowns where the spider and waterfall is now is a really good idea. Add some fishing net as a screen and give them pirate hats. Ever here those banging noise makers? The quick tat tat tat? Put the alien where the shaking mummy is and add one of those to him. He his now scary. * new stunt* He should be put around a corner to enhance the effect. Add a strobe too. Putting it where the mummy was is stupid. It won't last a month. The mummy, the crab, both destroyed. Put it where the giant skull is and put some bars to make it look like a cage and for protection. Put the skull in the spider skull room, it's too empty. Also, remove the panels in the electric chair room and paint some bars. Try to theme it like a prison. This will go along with the torture chamber. Put the rest of the ghost Ship stuff in pirates cove where it belongs. This includes the mermaid. Here's where I put all these ideas- notlmpresed.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=effects&action=display&thread=655

Your train idea is stupid, having portraits on the side? That room is a great hall, it gives the effect that your actually in a tunnel, and therefore the train comes.

Some of your ideas are a little drastic, but we all have our ideas of what the ride could become, so I won't call them stupid.
I probably wouldn't touch the train tunnel; I would just clean it/re-paint the walls. Your idea about an extended graveyard is interesting...but I like the existing shrinking hallway. The prison theme near the electric chair is cool, and yes, I would like to see the nautical paneling on the second floor moved to another area of the ride or removed altogether.

At least they could un-overlap them and stand them up straight. The would look good in pirates cove. Put them on some of the black walls and put a small green light in there.
Other areas in the HH seem empty like after the up side down room. Maybe less light and some specifically on one stunt like the saw mill or the clowns would make it seem better. Same with the eclectic chair room. Only have the lights on the jumping ghoul when he moves and the electric chair when he goes off would make it seem less empty. Or, maybe angle the large panels in the eclectic chair room To fill empty voids. Instead of a large corner, a wall going along side the track. This would be good in the skull room. This would also save money on new stuff and help make the HH look a little better.

The pirate theming makes the Haunted House the way it is the fact that there is a train in a house? Pirate crabs, and scull spiders, torture themed areas. Nothing makes sense thats what makes it stick out, it isn't some one theme haunted house with the same mood it has several artistic themes that stand out. I mean seriously, how can you flush your self down the toilet? I always laughed and or became confused when I saw the toilet scene before the decline.

I agree (I personally love the toilet stunt) but the panels should at least be moved like I said and the mermaid looks lonely. If the rest of the Ghost ship stunts were still there, she would be okay but now that they're gone. Some of my ideas are drastic but some are still good. Here is a simple version and my opinions-
The HH should be kept random but that doesn't mean it can't be cleaned a little. I personally love the toilet stunt. I do hate the blank areas like the corners of the spider skull room, right after the upside down room, and electric chair room. They all appear to be missing something in my opinion. Dimming the lights in the electric chair room would make it better. Cleaning up the stunts after the upside down room, and adding another thing to the spider skull room would make it better. I also think the clowns should be moved to where the drunken pirate was at the end. The train's sound and light should be when you're closer to make it better and scarier. The new stunt should be put where the giant skull is with bars for protection. The alien should stay and have a noise maker (drum roll if possible) added. He should be placed anywhere but the corner he's in now and where the mummy was.( maybe after the upside down room where the clowns were. The mummy's parts should be put in the grave yard. The dancing coffin should only have the reaper. Put the crooked skeleton some where else, he does not look good falling over in a corner. Maybe by the coffin after the shrinking hallway. The area that was occupied by the mummy is a hard place to put stuff because of vandalism. Maybe just a hanging dummy would be good. Not an animatronic one like in the other, just a body. This would be hard to vandalize with a pass by.

But, getting back to the topic. Too find a new good stunt, look at Halloween express. Besides animatronics, they have a variety of motionless stuff that's really good. I always liked this one- It would look good where the crab and mummy was. www.halloweenexpress.com/the-intruder-p-3100.html

The Scare Factory organ and player you all seem to like can be painted with flourescent paint, I have seen this done at Field of Screams in Mountville PA. (Here's a hint - have an artist paint it on with a brush, spray paint will not bring out the details. I would be happy to do it myself for you for a small reasonable fee. PM me in the Tracy forum if interested.)
The piano full of skeletons is very cool but takes a good while to reset itself, It could not fire every time on a busy day at your ride. Most Scare Factory stunts are like that. The Tyronasarus skull that roars takes long enough to complete it's cycle that it could possibly perform for 2 to 3 cars in a large enough room.
I have actually examined all of the Scare Factory stuff at the Transworld conventions each year.

I think scarefactory stuff is over priced and always breaks, if it doesn't arrive broken already haha
an effect we used at Disturbia in Huntsville alabama last season was to use green lasers horizontally and fog to create a water effect. just run the plexi glass mirror 4 inches wide all the way around the room. That way the laser is all around you
The guys who have really perfected this trick is Atrox factory

I personally think the Scare Factory Organ would be a great idea Or perhaps something like from Luna Park Melbourne's Ghost Train (could be custom built) www.elvision.com/tunneloflaffs/ghosttrain/gtp2.html (Scroll down the page a bit until you see a picture of an organ with two hands on the keyboard) This would be a good addition for the HH - because you usually associate pipe organs, Toccata, Fugue in D minor with haunted houses/haunted house rides. Sounds like fun too!

you guys could get plenty of actors who will work for free.. I would get a few paid actors who will always be there, then a few volunteers to fill some spots. I mean animatronics are great but they will never replace a well trained actor. just an idea

I don't know about live actors....I don't think it would feel right in the Haunted House. They already have added a lot of modern props, have thrown out four original props, and adding actors, I think, would make it even less true-to-Tracy.

What do you mean, you don't have to throw anything out, for instance you could have someone hide behind that Tracy styled window on the second floor right before the torture chamber.

I meant they already have thrown stuff out. The crab, seasick pirate, the bartender, and the lady in the cellar. I just think they shouldn't add live actors so it wouldn't take away from the Tracy props they still have. I like my darkrides original.
