Wow, it's really neat to finally see it in all it's glory. The Old facade. But I noticed something in another photo that leaves a loose end in this seemingly never-ending wild goose chase.......I'm gonna assume that this was taken during the off-season... notice who isn't hanging up there... Will we ever discover the Bat's secrets? He must have come down, but where did he go?
Anyhow, it's amazing to see...
Props Brandon, for the updates to the facade section of the site; it's amazing to see how the facade has changed over time; that yearly, or sub yearly image lapse really shows...I never noticed how different the letters where after being replaced...
So it seems we still have loose ends, but we have a good filler in the mystery...
BTW, how much did you have to fork out for the image? Was that the copy you said cost like $300 a print?

Brandon pointed out the long, flourescent lights in the lobby...that's pretty interesting. Definitely a good decision on the management's part to add the creepier chandeliers!
It looks like the top of the chimney has an extra little piece to it! It probably just fell off...

That chimney piece is still there, just a bit fragmented...
I actually like seeing the old lights. Gives a sense of nostalgia; more so the the chandeliers do. The ticket booth is what surprises me most. So they built it them-selfs? The more an more you look at it, it seems like Trimper may have been better of purchasing the 2-level package...
It would'a had pluses and minuses...
If the had done so, we would most likely have a full Tracy-attraction, as the ride would have lacked empty space, leaving the old guys as the major residents, with the up-most importance. The facade would still be pure Tracy, (True Tracy isn't bad though)
But to give it all up would mean that our unique masterpiece just wouldn't be the same. That mish-mash or old and new facade would most likely be all old and seamlessly more or so fitting. We wouldn't have ever met the B-day party, or the other friends who have been in The house since the GS merge...
That image really has my mind running...

On the Exterior/Facade page on the site, through the years, that chimney piece kind-of fell down...funny to see.
Has the bat always been hanging at the same height on his wall, or has he been lowered in recent years? I thought his tail used to be high enough that people couldn't put gum on it...

Also, since the picture was taken in the 70's, where are the exit doors in the lobby? Are they just blocked by a column?
It would be amazing if anyone out there had a close-up lobby picture.
