Considering there are already several 'slow' parts to the ride such as the train, the falling beam uphill, the repeating arches hall and the ocean wave hall, the balcony trumps them all as being the slowest part of the ride. it's important to advertise the ride by showing it emerge briefly, but "briefly" is not 25 seconds. I know it's silly to talk about structural changes that would never be made, but I think the balcony might have been better if the enclosed parts were extended outward and that the car only emerges for a much briefer 'straight-away' run before crashing back inside. just before and after the balcony the rooms could have outfacing windows and be decorated as porches or sunrooms with scenery or minor stunts. perhaps even triggered lighting such as strobes that could be seen from the boardwalk, especially at night. I have $20k I'd be willing to donate for this expansion.

This is a very interesting concept. Clarify if I'm wrong, but are you thinking of something similar to Rehoboth Beach's Haunted Mansion?---Where the car comes outside, but it is still slightly enclosed? I have always thought Trimper's balcony would be neat to have some rotting corpses or the like placed outside, maybe even hanging off the railing. Although looked upon as perhaps old fashioned, I have also always loved strobe lights—As you stated, some strobe light action being seen from outside would be spectacular. The only strobe light in the ride right now is at the Electric Chair.
This is off topic, but a few years ago, I had a conversation with Scott about hypothetically added a third story onto the building and expanding the ride. Granted, an addition to that scale and complexity would cost way into the millions, but it is fun to think about. I guess after the wave room, instead of exiting, you would take a quick left upward to the next level, then after the third floor, the car would return to the second floor near the mummy. Or, what if the ride had two outdoor balconies? What if it came out on the roof like the Nugget? Oh man, my blood pressure is getting high, and I’m getting excited…..
If any of the remaining Tracy dark rides go up for sale, Granville should buy it and use it for the addition… amazing! ;D

They should merge the golden nugget and pirates cove and fright zone and PHANTAZMAGORIA! 4 stories of awesomeness in a new building with a new facade! It would be called TRACY MANOR They should get rid of all the new stunts and keep it only tracys work and it would be a historical land mark and noone could demolish it along with trimpers.

Scotty told me this past weekend that he plans on ordering a few wire-framed skeletons that he can pose to put on the balcony. He also mentioned checking into a stunt that would come out of the wall as you creep across the balcony...
Just a few things to watch out for...
