Great article!....I enjoyed it immensely.....Thanks as always.....I do have one question though....Are you POSITIVE the cuckoo clock came from the Ghost Ship?.....There are 5 stunts I could swear was in the HH forever- falling barrels, witch, toilet, waterfall and clock.....I don't have anything to back it up except my memory and we know how that can be .....All I'm going to say is if it was someone that wasn't as knowledgable as you telling me this, I would be very argumentive about the clock anyway.....Now go and prove me wrong, I'm sure you want to... ;D....again, great article.....ZR

Thanks so much for your comments, Zombie! I really enjoyed writing it. Regarding the Clock, my gut tells me that it was an original to the 1964 installation also, but because I don’t have recollection of the ride prior to 1988, and due to the fact that both Clifford and Scotty said it came from Ghost Ship, I guess I just leaned toward that side of the story.
It is interesting because the original two-story proposal for Trimper’s Haunted House included a Clock, but then again it also included many of the stunts that ended up in Ghost Ship like the Mad Scientist!
Maybe someday we will know the true answer. For now, I am siding with “it came from Ghost Ship” just because Clifford remembers carrying it out . Also, in the FINAL one-story HH proposal, no Clock is mentioned. The good news about the world of digital web media is that if the answer changes, all I need to do is delete the photo and caption! I’ll let you know if I find anything further. Thanks for writing.

I'm going to have to say that the clock was originally in the Ghost Ship. I distinctly remember this stunt from my youth at Ocean Playland.
