Is anyone familiar with Showbiz Pizza and the robotic Rock-afire Explosion Band from the 80's, early 90's? This is another one of my passions, although, not many folks remember this...

Yep, they eventually became chuck e cheese. I remember seeing the ape and mouse cheerleader at chuck e cheese sometime in the early 90's jamming on stage. I did an ebay search about a year ago for showbiz pizza and found all sorts of fun things from it's time, like prizes and toys and whatnot that game winners could claim in exchange for their tickets! Fun stuff indeed.

Good to hear— Yeah, currently on eBay are Rolf the Wolf and Mitzi complete robots for sale! In the past, there were entire shows for sale, and most sold for around $12-15K. Furthermore, it absolutely blows my mind that some fans even build sets in their basements and install the shows in their homes! But, I guess a Bill Tracy prop would not be any different…
If you are true enthusiast about anything, all the stops are pulled!

a buddy of mine used to repair and program these. it's incredibly tedious to set up the sequences from scratch, but the complete program, if done well, can be very entertaining.
i guess, like a lot of animatronics, these items are starting to become rare.
