Have there ever been any Tracy attractions used in movies? I am a huge horror movie fan and just watched The Funhouse by Tobe Hooper from 1981 I believe. They have a number of creepy stunts in the movie, and it made me think about how great Tracy's work would have been in a horror movie from the 80's. The Haunted House facade can be seen in a movie called Violets are Blue, which was filmed partically in Trimper's Amusement park in the 80s. The facade can be seen from a distance, but the movie was filmed when the ride was only 1 story. www.imdb.com/title/tt0092173/hmm.....

Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows (1968) [G] www.imdb.com/title/tt0063800/There's supposedly shots of two Tracy rides in this, the journey to the center of the earth and devil's inn / pirate's den / bucket o' blood. (the middle name during the film, since it wasnt BoB until the 70s) I'll rent it and grab some stills. I'm guessing it's exteriors only, though Birdy (1984) www.imdb.com/title/tt0086969/This has a scene at Hunt's Pier. I saw it a year or so ago because it also was shot in some historic philly locations, but I can't remember what else was visible of the pier other than them riding the Flyer rollercoaster... Might have some whacky shack or golden nugget goodness.

There are also two homemade Hunt's Pier movies on YouTube from 1986 and 1988 after Bud Hunt sold it but the pier was still intact. You can see the front of the Shack with the whacky letters moving on both videos. Also my Journey at Dorney video from a TV show on YouTube. I have lots of dark ride footage I have to dig out sometime and upload. Of course the Haunted House and Pirate's Cove but other ones like Rye Playland's, Coney Island's and Wildwood's. I got the Golden Nugget on-ride it's last year of operation 1998 but no interior of Castle Dracula just the outside. Some of the dark rides like Rye Playland's and Coney's are already on YouTube. The NY area has probably the most dark rides but some of them are in danger of being lost. If Playland removes it's two electric ones, and Coney loses the Dante's and Ghost Hole over Thor's redevelopment, then all that's left in the NY area is Rye's old mill and Coney's Spook-A-Rama at Deno's and 1313 Cemetery Way at LI Adventureland, and the haunted park at LI near Adventureland in Sept./Oct only. Another recent big loss is Orlando's Skull Kingdom, the props are being sold and the castle itself will be razed for homes and condos. It was a big haunt almost like Brigantine Castle was. However, a new haunt opened Terror in Orlando, which is essentially the Leonard Pickel Mayhem Manor from Myrtle Beach (which lasted from 93-99) and a 3D funhouse.
