The whole idea of a room being flipped upside-down is something that one might experience only in their nightmares normally. The shift in gravity is something odd that would probably terrify anyone if it actually ever happened to them, so it's not hard to see why Tracy decided to make it into a gag for his dark rides. While our original Bill Tracy Upside-down room is getting some TLC in the form of some much needed re-painting; Scarefactory is now selling a modern version of the gag, which they are calling the Gravity Shift:www.scarefactory.com/catalog/gravity_shift.html Obviously, these modern gags are much more animated and effective in their execution of the illusion then the original HH version, but it just goes to show that Tracy's influence still lives on in the industry. Wonder when we'll see a "Last Drop" or "Headslinger" from Scare Factory? Who knows? What do you think of these modernized versions?

Tracy was such an influence in dark ride history. Such a shame more people don't know about him. I like to call him "The Walt Disney of Dark Rides". Such a visionary

the tracy upside down room still gives me chills sometimes, its amazing how Tracy used illusions to get you think 'whats going on?' 'how did this happen?' the scarefactory thing is more for the actual SCARE part, it would scare some people yes, but no delusional aspect that Tracy intended are in effect in the Gravity Shift.
it is pretty creepy tho.
