I always wnated to know, why did Bill Tracy call this "The Haunted House" instead of "The Whack Shack"

Don't have an answer for you, nor do I know if the Loch Ness Monster exists. It does make me wonder, though, if Granville had thought about naming his attraction anything other than the "Haunted House".

Either way, it fits it perfectly.

Because a year later after the HH was built, 1962 he headed off to Hunt's Pier and remodeled the Allan Herschell Devil's Inn into the Whacky Shack. The Whacky Shack was twice as large to the back than the Devil's Inn. Also in 1962 he remodeled Dorney's pretzel ride into the Pirate's Cove, and did work for Hunt's then brand new Pirate Ghost Ship Skua. He must have juggled alot of projects in the early 60's especially 1962.
