HAHA -- There he is! Oh man, I do miss Ghost Hole. Although it was what I call a "cheap" portable ride, it was one of the best "cheap" portable rides I have seen. I remember the hot 90 degree days a Trimper's--how the canvas top of the ride made the entire ride smell like a tent. An image from CoasterImage can be seen here: notlmpresed.angelfire.com/ot13.jpgThey have since painted the front by an airbrush artist of some sort, and I heard they revamped some effects, but who knows...

^ AHA, now I remember the ride! I did remember the two demon things going inside and out of the ride. My memory came back,. now why was this removed?

I am guessing the Trimps didn't want it anymore-- They wanted to get rid of it to make way for their new Pirate Ship and Titanic Blow-up attraction. Those two attractions were only in place for about 4 years until the Sling Shot came along...
I remember they were thinking about selling the Aladdin’s Lamp and putting Ghost Hole in its place, but luckily, that never came to pass. I am a fan of Aladdin, is anyone else?

Me, to I love the Aladdin, its short but back then it was always an adventure. The first rooms were actually detailed enough with strobes. Id always walk through the room with the painted doors, and bang into every one of them. Then the fun came and I rode the spinning wheels, and they finally told me to leave , so I headed out.

Aladdin's Lamp has a lot of good artwork inside-- I am not sure the origin of where it came from (maybe the park artist?)-- but it is very neat. For a "portable" fun house, that attraction rocks the casbah.

Indeed, aladdin was one of the other rides I admired the most aside from the HH. I almost forgot about ghost hole! Wasn't there a creature with big, red lightbulb eyes who circled around the upper level of it?

Yup—You are referring to an alien-like being up on the balcony. Most of these outdoor stunts were from a different era—I remember the one you are speaking of very well. It indeed had a light bulb on his head somewhere, but I always remember that it had an old bed blanket wrapped around him for his outfit—I guess the Trimper’s did not want to indulge in fitted attire. In addition, there was a skeleton pushing a carriage, a few other moving snakes, and another demon.

Ghost hole was located on the side street to the right of the Matterhorn (where the previous Sling Shot ride sat).
