The Train has always been a bad part of the ride in my oppinon. It just dosn't work. The scare it should produce can't happen, cause' the d**n cars are to slow. The gag would work if it was played out like the truck at Knoebels Haunted Mansion. They wait till the last second to turn the lights on infront of you. It's so much more effective. The train should be reset in my oppinon, or be de-railed all togather... Watch this video clip of the Knoebels Haunted Mansion Truck to see what I mean about reseting it for the last moment: Anybody agree?

I have to disagree back when I went on this ride when I was younger is scared the hell out of me it completely made me unaware that I was riding a ride. It just had the atmosphere about the cave walls, and the train at the end.

I actually really like the train and think it is one of the best parts of the ride.

I always liked the train because of the bumping effect, but, I do agree that there are others ways to pull off the scare. There are kind-of a couple different ways to set it up:
Like it is now, you enter the tracks just in time for a train's light to appear in the distance...its whistle blows, and is just ready to collide with your car when the light goes off, and the train misses you.
Or, like Knoebel's, you could enter the Haunted House's train tracks, and slowly bounce over each track. Just as you're ready to clear the tracks, the train's light could flash on right in front of you, and the sound could play.
But, it seems the first way is probably best for the train. The sound just isn't loud enough to play right as you are in front of the train. I think I do like the train how it is currently. (But whenever the sound isn't working, the whole stunt is terrible!)

How about delaythe spotlight on the train so when you first aproch the Train stunt you see the RailRoad crossing sign flashing when entering the tunnel and add the clacking sound of freight cars to it so u hear the train cars and halfway threw the tunnel the spotlight comes on and u hear the whistle blow

Interesting... Also, and I believe this is on the Haunted House facts page, but, what about the doors that were "propped back" that used to lead into the Train Tunnel? Where did the door(s) lead? Just curious...

Put an air cannon by the train, remove the tracks till the end and slow the train down. It would be way scarier to have all three of the above happen at once.
