Wow--switchin' over to page three!
Well, if the wire really doesn't take away from the stunts, I would like to have it in the Haunted House. It would be a great way to preserve the stunts.

What about plexiglass?

That would be a cool option...but a little more expensive.

Maybe an invisible electric fence that shocks the person if trys to touch a stunt ! Haha

I don't think glass would be good. There are glassed things in the Pirate's Cove here, but I'd perfer fenced, because...it just feels right. Plus, if you try to take pictures, they will always have flashes. However, if you use thin enough wire, no worries about bad pictures.

the Pirates cove in waldemer park has glass, but the one in trimPers has a fence

Who says the stunt would need protection during the move, (If it is done)? You'd have to be one hell of a dumbass to try and break the stunt moments before exiting the ride, and believe that you'd be safe from being caught...

I'll go with the electric fence! Maybe that'll teach 'em! I think most of the original Tracy stunts deserve the wire. The possibility is always there that some idiot could destroy a stunt while riding by...and that would be the end of a stunt. Luckily, that hasn't happened as of yet.

This Chicken Wire thing has gone too far ; I only mentioned that as a reassurance to those who thought there would be no safety for the Clowns ;D! They would be more then safe were I mentioned them to be place ; take a look at this diagram, and read up on my following post about the safety mechanisms already in place, and the ones that would be better to implement if we truly needed any...Attachments:

Okay, you may have to click on and enlarge the image, but here is the scoop;
- Okay, so the only set of doors that lead in and out of the ride that are not doubled are right in front of here; One of you mentioned you saw the alien from the opened doors. It is way to easy to catch someone doing something in this area alone...
- Right behind the location in question is; Ya-da-da-ta-da! An Employee Workshop! One thing most uneducated vandals have no knowledge of. If those plywood barriers could actually block the sounds that an attack on the Clowns would make, I'd be highly surprised. (Idea: Cut a few small peek holes in the barrier for better sound catching and security monitoring)
- There is a large mess up ahead, which would undoubtedly cause quite a distraction in any attempt to stand up an reach over to pull off a limb from the clowns; you guessed it. The water curtain would be a useful tool in preventing anyone from keeping there hands and arms inside the car.
- The Hallway isn't that long...but for the stunt's good sake, let's say if anyone would try and harm it, there is a way better alternative to Chicken Wire; See those yellow X's on the diagram? Those are the places where I think a set of Laser Trip switches would fit perfectly; Not to activate a sound or an animation, but to sound an alarm if any un-respecting a-hole attempts to degrade the stunt. And that way, there is no obstruction to any picture-taking!
There; you see, they are more then safe...
And get real, Trimper's wouldn't fork out the dough for an electric fence...

Something simple would be an alarm that sounds whenever the car's lid is lifted... But, you don't have to lift the lid to reach out and touch something. If the types of barriors above wouldn't work, the only choice left is just--to keep an eye on the ride via video cameras or on foot.

I'd say a trip laser thats invisible where if someone goes through it a alarm goes off and alerts an employee.

If they would do anything, it would be beneficial...I hate vandals! Anyone have any new stunt ideas?!?

If the Birthday Party was moved/revamped, it seems something could go there, straight out of the Upside-down Room.

The thing is though, that area is way too over congested as it already is... You can't get a decent view of anything...

It's an interesting spot for a stunt, nevertheless. On the wall behind the Birthday Party, there are a couple large bats...anyone know how long they've been hanging around?

Those Bats I believe are from the old facade from the 1 level days... That, or they resided in a disposed Tracy Stunt and were placed there...
The same molds were used in Pirates Cove's Swamp scene...

I am proposing moving the hanging man to across from the torture chamber where the giant skull is now and purchasing a new stunt for the downhill -- a place that is featured front and center and where riders will be able to really enjoy it. Stay tuned.

I think the birthday party should be moved back up to that space. But, something new could go there.

The Hanging Man does fit in to that area...Torture Chamber and such. That would be a cool move. It seems like there's not much space there, though, for him to be kicking around and all.
He's really been one of my favorite stunts in the Haunted House, and his location above the downhill always seemed perfect...I'd enjoy still seeing him in the ride. I guess it is time for change...Something spooky could have the spot on the shelf where the gallows is.

Hmm I think its a good idea. The scull was just lame, and eye candy, nothing more.

Nobody even pays attention to the skull. I wonder what it is that would be going there anyhow...
I really feel this change would do the HH some good. The Downhill gallows area is possibly one of the most...I hate to use the word because it shouldn't be used for the HH at all, but it is the most boring part of the ride. There is quite a feeling of security in that part, something I don't want to feel in a dark ride. I'd much rather feel on-edge. The 7 second loop sound byte becomes quite repetitive an annoying sometimes also...
That being said, if adding an lurching fiend or surprising pop-out monster will need on-the-clock timing, and perhaps I might add, some new lightning fixtures. Something to darken the mood...
Hopefully 2010 will bring a new gag...and hopefully a clothespin-less Count...

Yes, the sound byte of the Gallows gets pretty annoying after the first couple seconds.
You just go down the hill so slowly, and nothing more happens...the Gallows keeps kicking.

here is an excellent idea for the replacement of the mummy, OR the elderly vampire URL: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq3rOIESAzg&feature=related lol, i saw this at a spirit halloween store ac ouple years back, i walked up to it just as it raised his arm, and i was honestly scared to death and ran : but this would be great if it raised his arm right as the car passed him

It's definitely a popular prop...
A gemmy product probably wouldn't last long in the Haunted House.

move that jason to where the old vampire is and put the vampire next to the shivering mummy. It would be like an elderly duo ( the mummy is so old he developed parkinsons!"

whats the max price we can spend for a new stunt? ABSOLUTLY NOT the Old Mill stays it is one of Bill Tracy's unforgettable stunts and has been their ever since it was built and the Haunted House wouldnt be the same without the Sawmill so please leave the sawmill.

Welcome to the forum! If they got rid of the Sawmill, it would be terrible! And I don't know the maximum price the Haunted House would spend...although based on the ton of people who board the ride each day, I would think they would have plenty to purchase a high-quality prop. It would be a pleasant surprise to see a new stunt this year!
