I was wondering if anybody eles but me here knew that the mirror maze was originaly part of another amusment park Trimper's bought called Melvin's Amusements, who also owned that Wooden Wild Mouse that trleft was talkn' about earlier.
Like the Wild Mouse, The Mirror Maze itself resided elsewhere before the purchase, and was moved...
Can you imagine the mirror maze being moved around? I can't imagine it ever as a non-stationary attraction, but at one point, this large ride was indeed a stationary attraction in a different location...

Awsome Book I got at a local Barnes & Nobel, Trimper's has a chapter, and while they got the true opening date of The HH wrong like everyone except OCHH.net (cause you discovered that) They had loads of other tid-bits and fascinating info on Trimpers, as-well as Funland in Rehobeth, Jolley Rodger, The Pier, and a bunch more. Each Park has it's own chapter, with the history, info for visiting, don't miss stuff, historic data, and lots more.

Hmm...
It tells how the Trimper's moved to the US from Germany back in 1890. Trimper's was the first place on the Boardwalk to have electric lights. People came to see the carousel (the first one) just cause it had lights. The carousel was replaced with the one seen today. It is rumored that the steam engiene that ran the carousel is burried under the bumper car ride, because it was to large to get out the door. There is alot of stuff in the book...
It's a shelf-worthy book for any fan of amusement parks on the east coast, or any amusement park fan in general!
