My curiosity has gotten the best of me. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if the Trimper’s may have mix-matched old Ghost Ship effects when they moved them to the HH. The Birthday Party sparked this because I don’t think the Pirate on the left was part of the original stunt. I dunno, just a gut feeling. But, if he wasn’t, I wonder where he was originally? And I am also left to wonder about the Ghost Ship boat deck scenery that is spread throughout the ride. Was that used in the same manner in Ghost Ship as wall décor? – or, was it actually part of a stunt? I would love to be able to see ancient pictures of OC’s Ghost Ship interior—but after inquiring with George LaCross and searching tirelessly on the internet, I have had no such luck.
It bewilders me how the majority of the stunts in OC’s Ghost Ship and Kennywood’s Ghost Ship are different. I don’t know of the exact date Playland’s Ghost Ship was built, but being that Kennywoods was built in 1967 or so, I would imagine the dates are similar…
