I guess I will make an introduction before I ask my question,
Hi, my name is Sean, I know for a fact that I am the youngest member here. I am thirteen years old and I type on the internet as if it is graded. Do not expect me to speak in complete gibberish the way people my age do.
Only 2 years ago was introduced to Tracy's world, I was not willing to go on The Haunted House when I was young (A bad run with the Pirates' Cove when I was five, formed a phobia for Haunted Houses, or even things that even closely resembled a Haunted House, I refused to go in line to the Hershey Tour because I heard animal noises coming from the around corner, one of the people working there let us through the security passages to get to the ride portion of the tour, it was that bad) Simple things like the bathroom stunt, easily could have been a simple box and a toilet with hands protruding from it. But Tracy added amazing detail to his stunts, from the tic-tac-toe game on the wall to the unorganized mass of PVC piping attached to the toilet. (I think it was Tracy's cartoon-ish style that caught my attention)
These kinds of things make Tracy's stunts and the overall experience that much better. Who, for me, was an unknown artist at the time. When we got back home, I researched the Haunted House. Ever since, I've been learning more and more about the man and the ride, and I have to tell that the more I find out about him, and the more I admire his work. The more Tracy attractions I find that are now defunct, the more I envy people like yourselves who were able to see into the mind of Tracy far better than me. Even if your memories of the rides are deteriorating, at least you have memories of them.
As you can see, I am not your average Thirteen-year-old, people I know would be happy to grab onto the Headslinger's head while it is flying by, or break off the giant crabs arms, which caused it to be in a landfill as I type this message. I would not lay a hand on a single Tracy, prop, background, artwork, or stunt.
Now that that is out of the way, can you tell me which stunts are from Distortions? The only one I know for a fact is the hanging man at the end of the ride.
At first, you go through all this amazing scenery and stunts, the Tracy stunts are so imaginative and detailed that it just makes you want to get out of the coffin car and examine them for hours (which, after research, turns out to be a bad idea. I suppose a better alternative is to work there). And then you go into a place with real looking figures of vampires, werewolves, and ogres. It really changes the mood of everything. From these (at least now) one of a kind things that were supposed to let your imagination run wild, some frighten you. To these props that you have seen a million times elsewhere (electric chair, hanging man, Frankenstein, etc.) that have the sole purpose of scaring someone.
So my second question is, do you think that Distortion/New stunts are a little too real to fit in with the original artwork?
Thank you for reading this, it truly has been a pain typing this (the laptop's cursor pad does a left click if you tap it, so every time my palm touches the cursor makes me type god knows where on the screen)
