We were down at Trimpers on Sunday, August 2nd and noticed that the sound effects for the Electric Chair were broken. This is a great stunt but really stinks without the sound. Any idea what was going on, or if it has been fixed.

When I went on it over vacation a few weeks ago there was no sound for the electric chair for most of the day. It wasn't until maybe 5:00 or 6:00 when the sound started working. Honestly I hate that the sound bite is ear splitting loud but it's a good one. trimpers should really turn the sound down so it doesn't break someones ear drum. at times you can hear it when your on the 2d floor.

Just like Knoebel's Truck. ;D You can hear it whenever it goes off inside, all over the ride, and sometimes, if you have a good ear as I do; on the outside of the ride while in line ;D, just like the organ music can be heard in the line...(The Extra crash door actually leads straight into the living room scene were the organ is; The cars by pass it on the way down the porch, and go through the ones in the center of the house facade)
When I do film it this week, I'll have to add the sound as an extra if it isn't working...(I have a copy)

That's interesting. When I saw those doors by the operater I just thought it lead to a storage room like the Whacky Shack does.

Posted by spookyrider on Today at 9:12pm That's interesting. When I saw those doors by the operater I just thought it lead to a storage room like the Whacky Shack does. Nah...they had that 5 second power loss when I was there, and they had to open them a number of times while I was in line...and I was near the front too...I was hoping to get some breakdown footage! I also learned that they usually have a worker stationed in the mirror room/skull room...I saw him when the lights came on...I also saw were the workers eat lunch inside the ride; ironic, it's right across from the kitchen; the opposite side of the stunts, there is a room without a door lit by black light, they had domino's pizza in there! ;D

One time when I had my camera light on, I saw a worker seated by the snake-in-clock.

I wondered if they had more hiding places. I know on Splash Mountain in Disneyland that they all hang out at the base of the final lift hill...
I was lucky to see that guy though, as I had only enough tickets left for two more rides on The Haunted Mansion, and the nice operator guy let me in for free twice! he said I had been on it enough that day, and I could go for free! ;D

wow, I didn't know Knoebels had workers in the ride. I rode it years ago and I was really scared. they have a domino's pizza in the haunted mansion? now I see why they don't want riders getting out of the cars! and I thought splash mountain didn't need to be supervised. also adding to the electric chair, and truck sounds morbid manor 2 at the pier has loud nosies. They can be heard all over that section of the pier. I got a lights on ride of mm2 because a worker left the lights on!

I do remember hearing a faint organ playing music while I was waiting in line now that you mention it.
