Hey, its been a while...
I was wondering about what you guys thought needed to be timed better. I'll just do one...
The saw mill/knit wit stunts are timed terribly. (At least they were when I went...)
The saw mill steals your attention from the knit wit. When I went last, I'm pretty sure when I turned to see the knit wit spin around. It was already around. It was as if it was broken (and it wasn't).

I think the barrel room lights and barrels need to be timed better. you only see the barrels for 1 second. also the barrels don't work any more the just don't fall. and the timing for the train doesn't make it that scary.

The Knit Witt was broken for at least 3/4 hours on August 26th when I was there, but they had it fixed by the end of the day...
Yeah, they really should fix that particular area of timing. The thing about that part of the ride is that; 1. It's over congested already (Trolls, Birthday, Mr.Stubs, werewolf, Mr. Hippopotamus, ect.) 2. It's way too fast; 3. Depending on the car you ride in, it can be slower once reaching mid-slope to the Knit Witt, while other cars speed through like a bat outa hell; 4. The Knit Witt itself is a really fast moving gag. The thing nearly breaks each time it spins around.
Has there ever been talk of moving the knit witt stunt in it's entirety upstairs were the mermaid diorama is? I think it would be the best place to showcase it without having another stunt steal it's lime light.

I always though where the witch (The one right next to the knit wit) is would be a better place. It'd put a buffer zone between The Saw Mill and the Knit Wit. Actually, I thought of having some sort of sound like an old lady humming as the car turns to face knit wit and then whatever scream that fits with the humming goes off once she's fully turned around...
Or she can be moved to where the vampiress (Which I've always hated) upstairs is, because you would see the stunt for a while before you exit that room. Enough time for it to turn around.

I must say--I am very disappointed with the timing of many stunts inside the HH. If you look at the video from 1996, when the magnetic switches were used, all of the stunts and lighting were timed perfect. When they switched to the photoelectric sensors, they simply were not positioned right in many areas of the ride, and as a result, stunts are missed. Old Mill, Knit Wit, Gravestone, and Falling Barrels are all stunts that could afford a repositioned sensor. Like Mike said, the turn coming out of the upside down room can be fast, and considering there are five things to look at shortly after, there should be more attention to the timing.

Yep--in the 1996 video, the stunts that are WORKING are timed perfectly...today, there are definitely many mishaps with timing. I always remember the falling barrels just about never working properly. Sometimes, it would remain completely dark in the room. Other times, the light would flash on and off, and nothing would happen...
Timing is key in the attraction; it may be most important. They should really consider repositioning the switches and reflectors that set off the stunts.
