Now we all know the odds of our good old Haunted House hitting the big screen is that of hell freezing over. But what if it hell did freeze over? What if the script for "The Haunted House" actually had potential? What if it were to happen? Who would direct it? Who would play are favorite Tracy character's live action counterparts? What would it involve? What would the story be? What would a massive CGI-Style Tracy House look like? I can sense that the last one may have drawn you in...an impressive Tracy-Style Mansion pitted against a stormy black sky...A movie poster concept can be viewed here: lh6.ggpht.com/_9XeuZGC9FJw/Sq2MHbWD6qI/AAAAAAAABdY/t6MgirFiN4I/s512/RZ's%20HH.jpg picasaweb.google.com/MTTBrilhart/DropBox#5381111189004872354
What are your takes on a HH movie? If there ever was one...
Who would you cast as the characters in gloom house?
What would you hope to see done with a plot if it was inevitable that it was going to happen?
Who would you have direct it? (My personal choice is Rob Zombie; in my mind, only he could do Tracy's Bizarre and Crude Ideas justice on the silver screen )
Come on! Let's hear what you have to say?
(Anyone up for Tom Cruise as the Electric Chair Man? Hahaha! ;D)

I think the person who would be right for this movie would be Tim Burton. Totally! I think it would be about a group of people going into a haunted house for one night, and the people who survive will get 900 million dollars and a coupon for Bennigan's. And they would have to escape from the knit wit, being tortured, and getting hit by a train. And lots, lots more!

I had just thought of that today! Tim Burton & Rob Zombie could team up to make this thing work! ;D
Here are two actor picks:
1st, for the lady in the torture chamber, aka the "Boob Lady" ; my pick goes to:
picasaweb.google.com/MTTBrilhart/DropBox#5381481860811897218
She's the only one who could get people to come see it purely because of a massive amount of cleavage, plus her role's main gig.
2nd, for the Electric Chair Guy:

Because anyone would pay to see his ignorant a-s-s get fried, plus, you gotta admit, the concept art does it justice, and makes for a hilarious gig! ;D

Dude why Rob Zombie? Hasn't he ruined just about everything the Halloween films, Blob, and other movies. He would be terrible, you would need someone more creative.

I'd don't know what your talking about with Halloween, cause' his remake blew the original's head off in my mind ...
But when it come to reaching into the handful of directors who could direct a film to be as deranged, crude, wacky, gory, sickening, and perverted as Tracy's gags would be on a modern day "Hollywood" take, Zombie and Burton as a Team would take to the skies! ;D
Who else would place as much random emphasis on a women's bare breasts in a horror-based situation involving mutilation and violence? (See "House of 1000 Corpses", and compare the mutilation scenes in it to the torture chamber, were random emphasis on boobs is placed with extreme gore)
If not Zombie, who do you think PK11? BTW, why not log in for a change?

Well both of the Halloween movies were terrible because he thought you could just add gore, violence, and hard core to make him scary, WRONG. Its about suspense, the music, surprise. Thats what made him creepy, seeing him in the background, in a school, yard, window. RZ blew that stuff away. But thats something we can do in another thread.
I'd say bring Dave Fincher, he has imaginative art direction, and really creates visualizing sets.

Dave Finchner? ???Never heard of him...I was under the impression that modern audiences need a gore based selling point...

BUT THEY BOTH SUCKED BALLS!!
I think that the ride "Phantom Manor would be a realy Great movie
Yeah. Both of them sucked as far as movies go. You have to admit that the score for "Haunted Mansion" was very good though, even if it had the "Grim Grinning Ghost" melody in there once or twice at the most. (I have a copy of it, & if I get 100 subscribers, I plan on releasing it) Yeah, Phantom Manor would be better...
But Troy, you forgot the most important Dark ride Suck-tacular of them all! Pirates of the Caribbean has let it's classy dark ride history wash out to sea because of that crap-tastic fill trilogy! I hate it when you ride it now, because you hear the names "Jack Sparrow" & "Davy Jones" more then anything! They killed a classic! Surely you see this troy? I hope your not a fan of that ridiculous film now, are you?
See, at least in Haunted Mansion's case, it was an epic fail, and lead to no Eddie Murphy AA being installed...
The only way he should be added is this way: picasaweb.google.com/MTTBrilhart/DropBox?pli=1&gsessionid=1um0Phe00qPI9iYdc5q7Lw#5383355434168350514
Heck, even the imagineers know it was a failure! Watch this:
But in the case of The Haunted House; it's all just hypothetical. Not like it's gonna really happen. Just think though...if there ever was going to be a HH movie, what would you want to see happen?

Dude, let's try to keep some peace here, but pirates failed. Epic Fail. Hell, then the Haunted Mansion was a great movie, if you don't associate it to the ride...hell, then it's better then pirates in my oppion. The Pirates movies threw acid on the ride it was given life from and deformed it to look like something completely trashy and wrong. And let's get it straight, we all know what Disney's best movie is : - www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRQtepPPeM8

Read This Here:
High School Musical The most inhumane punishment imaginable, it is done by strapping the victim to a chair and forcing them to watch High School Musical 1, 2, and 3 with the volume set on full blast. Victims have been known to try to bite their own Jugular vein to put themselves out of their misery. Only one person has ever survived this. He still suffered physical and emotional damage. There has been reported cases of immunity in girls ages 8-14 years of age. Anybody who uses this method is sent straight to hell and forced to undergo the same punishment.

I haven't watched any movies called that, but "The Haunted House" IS a classic combination of adjective and noun, so it's bound to be a scary movie.
