I was chatting with my friend yesterday about Kings Dominion in Virgina. They had a scooby doo dark ride but are taking out all the scooby figures and props and replacing it with snoopy( sounds dumb right! It's true. Look at the site!). He said "wouldn't it be crazy if they added scooby theming to that haunted house in OC?". That got me thinking. What if they added cartoon theming to our beloved HH? They added Garfield theming the Old Mill at Kennywood and that was a huge flop. Just looking for your thoughts on that whole idea!

It still disturbs me today that Kennywood replaced The Old Mill with Garfield's Nightmare. Kennywood always swaps out rides in that location, so it would be nice to see something useful go in it's place.

My haunted attraction for 2012 is called RavenCroft (at Cobham Manor).
Now we all know how well known the HH is for it's weird, zany, and out of the ordinary nature. But this would just ruin it and take away from the "old, dark and gloomy" feel that the ride has always had. Keep scooby at KD! I will actually miss that ride at KD, it's always a fun little trip to go through that and blast some ghosts
"I love graveyards in the springtime, I love graveyards in the fall!"
The only good sallyvorp is the one in Niagara falls. There, the owners of the park took out most of the carboard cut outs and put in stunts like the reaching goul in HH. It's the only ride where it seemed right as a kid dark ride.
Well - whoever did the Garfield ride did an okay job - but some of the stunts were static like the mice and the pot of cat stew - would have liked to see them stirring the pot - frankensausage did nothing - everything was air-operated (could hear the hiss of compressed air) such as the icecream truck that nearly fell backwards - the munching dog with the extremely large teeth and the pizza box. The only thing that gave you a proper shock was the vet's needle which sprayed a little bit of compressed air at you. Thanks to the users who have put this POV up so you can see Garfield's Nightmare:)
Nobody however has footage of the Old Mill before 2004

HHMacabre: Hi everyone! Did I hear word of new additions in the ride? How is the Mineshaft?

Brandon: Yes, there are supposed to be two new effects installed this year. I don't have any insight yet but will share the information once I receive it. I don't think anything has been done with the Shaft.

Brandon: There have also been three additional mini shooting galleries installed around the park. Pics and information to come a later date at ochh.net.
