I know there had to of been a waterpark on Ocean Pier, slides behind Morbid Manor, what happened to them? Why were they taken away?

They were removed about a decade ago and moved to the Jolly Roger park up town. The Suicide Slide was not reassembled asl I believe there were a number of heart attacks and deaths from the drop.

Are there any pictures of the waterpark as it was on the pier?

It may be hard to see, but this aerial has the water slides on the pier next to morbid manor. I will try to find more.

No wonder they called it Suicide Slide... I remember going on a flume type of water ride... Is that still on the pier?

That was the rockn rapids log flume, it was around for 8 years and recently removed 5 years ago.

it is at Jolly Rogers now

So basically Jolly Roger owned the pier then gave it away and bought it back?

lol, apparently

Mr. Jenkins, owner of Jolly Roger, has always owned the Pier rides. He was operating it under a different company name then, but now both the pier and the park are both operated under JR.

Wow it seems there are hardly any pictures of retro Ocean City Pier. Yet Trimpers has many.

Slide is seen in the background

Now when I look at the pier, its crazy how they fit a small water park at the back, because the area past the darkride is small, and cramped.

That is true, but you have to remember they didn't have the roller coaster "looping star" at this time. Most of the water park actually spanned the back for the pier and wrapped around to where the coaster sits today.

True. Now only if I could see the whole water park and Morbid Manor, or the whole pier aerial. That would be neat.

I found this random family photo (not my family) in my archive with the slide in the background.

WOW i think its either the ferris wheel was moved or the pier was extended, and that slide(s) in the background look like they are at Splash mountain today (fyi, they are painted different colors today)

Holy cow, I can see the death slide. But thanks Brandon!
They are the same because the supports that hold the queue stairs are the same as that picture up with the Morbid Manor.

I think that was "King Cobra" at Jolly Rodger. The world's first Shuttle Loop coaster; was moved there from Kings Dominion to make room for the Anaconda.

WOW...
You know, I think I made that exact same ride on Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 once ; The Peeps came down, hit the pool really fast, were sent skimming the surface of the water, and then sent flying out of the pool complex landing on the pavement outside...
Guess that's why they called it the Suicide Slide...

COOL! i wonder why the hell splash mountain got rid of those?

Because they probably were not safe, and in real life, you can't operate a faulty ride like you can in RCT3.
