I know I've asked about this before, and I know what Brandon said, but... Do they truthfully turn off the Electric Chair's sound during the day? Simply turning off one sound probably would not save much money anyway, right? I hope it's a coincidence that on nearly all videos during the day, its sound is not working. So, how many more people ride at night than during the day?? I would guess a lot more at night due to the Boardwalk's packing up... I just wanted to ask again, since the Electric Chair's sound is my favorite in the ride! If I go down and his sound isn't working in the daylight, I'll still survive.

I think that the sound is off during the day; because it's quite loud and generally can be heard throughout the ride if it's on. Since the offices are right across from the stunt; one could figure it may not be a means of saving money, but of keeping some peace and quiet for the office workers during the hours where the ride experiences a lower number of patrons.
And also know that the ride I took after the the one I filmed my "Busy Summer Night POV", the Sound was working properly again.
I think they do it for noise reasons rather then money saving.

The electric chair sound is never turned off, especially for monetary reasons. The HH makes upwards of $3000 per day, so cost is not an issue. Because the electric chair uses an auto-reverse/auto rewind tape deck, the lack of sound when the stunt activates usually means the deck is either reversing or rewinding, which means no sound during that time. Although it may be a coincidence that a lot of videos and experiences document no sound, I would not rule out the fact that maybe the deck was out of commision at the time.

did the sound come with the stunt, or did someone else who works with Trimpers record it?

It came as a complete package with the stunt

I see what you're saying - I remember a video where the sound wasn't working, then after a second or two, it actually popped on.

Sorry to have to say this, but every ride-through for me during the day, his sound was off. It was a real bummer. Only when it was completely dark outside did it come on. Not trying to prove Brandon wrong, just reporting what happened - still not assuming anything!!
