What is your favorite roller coaster ever? What park is it at? Why? My favorite roller coaster of alltime is Bizzarro at Six Flags Great Adventure. It's got a great storyline and amazing soundtrack. Plus it's really smooth.

Probably Millenium Force at Cedar Point. It is gigantic - over 300 feet tall, and is very smooth. The pressure you get going down the first hill is amazing! But I do like the Dragster too.

:DHaha; Looks I disagree with you all entirely; Drowning Pool, Alterbridge, Disturbed, the Sick Puppies, and Skillet all own Aerosmith; Disney is to sissy to go with "Real" rock. They play on the oldies stations like 101.5 light FM for a reason you know; they are a thing of the past; and the source copies of their works show it...
And now on to Roller Coasters... One thing I've learned via Troy is that "Roller Coaster" tastes is something I just can't fathom the widespread stupidity of; I have been on a whole heck of a lot of coasters; and I have to say it's the same d**n ones for everyone usually...
You've got your Orlando peeps who only visit the likes of Disney and Universal and have no true concept of a real roller coaster; Then there are the modern thrill junkies who are all over the 2 second rides like Top Thrill Dragster, King da Ka, and storm runner; all wastes of 4 hours in line no mater how thrilling; I don't care what your argument is; They don't add up to the amount of time you stand in line for them while other, more complete coasters stand within an arms reach of you.
I'm a wooden coaster junkie; I don't like getting that same-old ride that you get on a steel coaster. I don't need to go upside-down to somehow make a great ride feel complete when it isn't needed; I don't need over-hyped and over-rated record-breaking speeds or heights to make me feel satisfied; That being said, I have rode my fair share of steel coasters too, so I'm not being a hypocrite when I compare the two...
If there is one thing I've learned about a lot of you here, it's that when it comes to classic dark-rides, your all for them*; keep them as they are*, but when it comes to Roller Coasters, your like every other modern day bandwagon jumping punk who hates what the roller coaster was originally interned to do and is more interested in records and over-rated hype that is complete nonsense...
A complete ride is filled with steep drops; airtime; roughness; a lift hill build-up; and a layout that doesn't try to throw inversion after inversion and call it a day...
As you all know by now, I just visited the coaster that I favor the most...
My #1. Has to be the World Famous CONEY ISLAND CYCLONE; It's a rough, white-knuckle ride that has been around for 83 years ;D; It's drop is heart-pounding, and the layout is all I could ask for. You don't need any god d**n loops to have the best ride you can get; The Cyclone is fast for it's size; 60mph off the 60degree, 87ft drop; The layout gives a sense of near collisions throughout; head-choppers all over... ;D
They say the Cyclone is what all designs are judged against; If so, then most of these over-rated pieces of crap today are far from the real-deal...The Cyclone is a classic; just like The Haunted House is...
So, my top 5 list:
- 1. The Coney Island Cyclone
- 2. The Wildcat at Hershey Park
- 3. The Phoenix at Knobebels
- 4. The Dragon at Rye Playland
- 5. The Giant Dipper at Belmont Park
I have more on this* I need to post elsewhere, but I feel a certain hunch building on the lack of true appreciation for classic rides in general...

The Wild One at SFA totally beats the Cyclone. It is 93 years old ( built in 1917), it has 88 ft drop, and goes 60 mph. ( It's my favorite Wooden Coaster)

Have you ever rode the Cyclone? Don't compare what you haven't experienced; Troy likes to do this when we get into Disneyland vs. Disney World Arguments; I feel, judging by my visits to both, I have the right to say Disneyland is better...
Of course, what am I saying; you have ridden the cyclone, haven't you?

first of all mike, the new stuff sucks, i like some metal like PAPA roach and slipknot, but the old stuff is better. like bands like, AC/DC, Metallica, Van Halen, Quite Riot, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden. I cant stand that f*g**t Lil Wayne
now I havent rode the cyclone, but i heard t is a good coaster, but let me ask you this, Have u ever even rode a looping/upisde-down coaster in your life?

I'm a fan of the classic coasters AND the new ones that break all the records. I only had to wait about five minutes to get on Top Thrill Dragster, so I definitely wasn't waiting for hours for the thrill rides... I appreciate the classic wooden coasters, but have only been on a few. The Cyclone does look great, though, especially for a woodie - so I see why it's your favorite. So for me, the Thunderbolt at Kennywood www.youtube.com/watch?v=91xJaFCN-9w and Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoJkimXAuRM&feature=channel are on about the same level...one is wooden, bumpy, extremely rough, and a longer ride, and the other is steel, smooth, fast, and much shorter. I like them both.

Troy I have gone upside-down on some coasters; You remember my tale after the Hershey Park Trip where I explained the Sooperdooperlooper indecent; and those Zamparela Flying Coasters are far more rough then they look when your ride them; the barrel rolls where really the only smooth part...
No Nick, I have not been on Wild One; I would love to get down there one time and ride it though; that and the ROAR; But, I didn't dis the Wild One. I'm sure that it's a good ride though; but it is after-all, an out-an-back; of course, you never answered the original question; I was being sarcastic to a degree in assuming at the end of the post...
I would be hard pressed, but If I could list all the coasters I've rode in my life, I'd say it's half wood, half steel; I just prefer the former; I have seen King-Da-Ka, and The Storm Runner; (I have not been to Cedar Point as of Yet, but they are similar in design, and the peak season waits are very likely to be the same) and you can tell me "It's the most thrilling ride" or "It's so much fun" but it doesn't mean jack when you have numerous rides that last more the 20 seconds nearby and have shorter lines. The argument is in logic, a load of crap; waiting hours for a 20 second ride, (If you can even call King Da Ka a Roller Coaster, more like a mutated Demon Drop Tower) over waiting 15 minutes or so for a well paced minute+ long ride. At the end of the day, which is going to be the smarter choice; one 20 second ride over ten or so longer rides?
And Troy, The stuff I listen to is not Lil Wane stuff; I hate that crap too. Drowning Pool and Alterbridge are alternative rock; I listen to Papa Roach and Metallic too. None of the bands I listen to are remotely far from the premises of Aerosmith and the rock genre. I hate this new Pop crap; If I hear that ear-splitting "Party in the USA" one more time...ergh! All that generic party crap sounds the same; it all sucks...
You should take a listen, they aren't to bad...

your bands arent that bad, im glad you also hate the new POP crap, like Z-104.3 i like some semi-new stuff like Green Day, blink-182, Smashing Pumpkins. my friend from Bel Air keeps telling me to listen to Alter Bridge an stuff like that, i just prefer the old rock and some metal.
but then again, lets not talk about music, so....... continue with the Roller Casters

Twister at knoebels. Cyclone was closed when I was there so I can't say but the twister is better than anything kennywood has.

Twister does look cool... what is the "theme" of Rock N' Rollercoaster?
Oh, and just to add to our music selections, I will break it to you that I have pretty much all of Lady Gaga's songs on my iPod...
Now THAT should stir up some controversy!! Ha ha!
I have to say, though, I like SOME rock, mostly pop, SOME r&b, SOME rap, and a LITTLE country...a little of everything is cool with me.
