THE WAIT IS OVA'!! ;D ;D I WILL BE GOING TO OCEAN CITY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIVE YEARS!! The time has finally come, and I’ve definitely waited long enough! Yes, the distinctive smells of rotting wood, old bubble gum, and ocean air will once again greet me! One of the first things to do is to return to the horrifying place I first cowered at from across the parking lot years ago! That’s right; Monday evening, I will be sitting outside Trimper’s Haunted House in absolute shock and wonder, watching cars crawl across the balcony and Count Wolf von Vinderstein blabber on about the evil happenings inside his abode. I then will take the first ride in five years! It is just going to be amazing. ;D I will probably take upward of 30 trips through the Haunted House, taking videos and pictures lots of the time! I was always too scared to go on the Tidal Wave when I was younger, but I’ll ride that, finally! (As well as most of the other rides.) It really will be a great time! It is possible I might start posting a HH video or two Monday night or Tuesday morning, but that depends on the severity of the state of shock I’m in. I will have a laptop with me!

I doubt the Tidal Wave will be open. My suggestion is spend a day down there at Trimper's. Get there when they open and buy a wristband. That should get you in the HH as many times as you want for the majority of the day.

I rode The Haunted House today! I must say......WOW! For not being on the ride in five years, it is SO MUCH different than I expected. Sure, I can remember all of the horrific sounds and stunts, but so many things struck me as "wierd" as I went through the ride. The fact that the rooms are so small, just how JERKY the ride is, and how AWESOME the ride is when you go through with eyes open! The same "aromas" were still in the ride, of course, but with BOLT'S Distortions-type latex smell added to the mix! The ride looked beautiful, but not all stunts were functioning... Witch didn't fall. Graveyard Ghoul was already popped up, and siren went off one second late. Bat hill Bat didn't begin "flying" until later in the evening. Falling Barrels lit up, the barrels shook a little, but didn't officially fall. The timing of the lights and stunt together was well in-sync, though. The Reaching Bale character was completely missing his hands; his sound went off, but he didn't move. The Vampiress's fan didn't go on. The Electric Chair's sound was not working even through the night. The Cuckoo Clock attempted to go off the first ride and also had a small floodlight go on with it I believe... but the other rides, it did not come on at all. The Headbanger was pretty cool, but not too loud...I guess they can't do much about that. The ride looked so colorful and perfect , even though some stunts were having issues. I'll update more later!

Yep! TomShutter mentioned that there was a hole in the facade under the bat, and there is! I don't know how it got there, but it goes pretty deep. I'll be riding much more over the next few days! I have to say, though, my video camera did NOT do well in the Haunted House. It could not pick up on most of the black light effects... We'll see what happens!

Another thing I noticed through my rides so far was that the only place I spotted employees was to the left of the Bathroom.
I hope the Electric Chair's sound is fixed today or tomorrow! I would love to hear his loud groaning in person!
Ha ha, I'm gonna' ride the Haunted House A LOT in the next couple days! I want to look at every square inch and take some pictures!

Those are usual problems. Check the balcony for a chicken bone. I could have sworn I saw one on my last ride. it's below the bat on his side

But about the falling barrels, when the lights came on, the mummy scarred me. If the barrels are not going to fall again, they need to move the mummy closer and have the light go on when the car passes there. Add a sound and it would be perfect!

The Mummy scared me, too! That was a good decision to put the Mummy in the Falling Barrels room! That alone caught me off guard, and will get many riders!
Yesterday, the Falling Barrels lit up and "shook" at the perfect time, but did not fall. This happened two times. The third ride, they did not come on at all...who knows what's wrong with the sensor there...same with the Cuckoo Clock. I'm not sure WHEN it decides to go off.
And, does anyone know if the Cuckoo Clock now has a floodlight that comes on with the stunt's activation? I could swear I saw it once!

And now the negatives from Tuesday! The Guardian, which I consider one of the coolest and most evil props, has not been working the past two days. I hope he gets fixed! The Lobby music is playing, but quietly. The Sawmill's sound keeps going off twice per car! AAHH! The ghoul behind the tombstone was now lying on his back, struggling to rise each time! He was like inching his way up, but never made it to the top! The Falling Barrels were again so close to falling over at the perfect time, but they just shook - a good bit! I thought they would come down! The fan for the Vampiress is actually now moved out of the diorama, not sure why... The Reaching Character still didn't reach; I guess he's broken. The Cuckoo Clock was still "attempting", but I only got it to do a quick "eeh" one time! But what about positives?? The Haunted House line stretched all the way to the Goin' Wild shop for most of the evening! The Haunted House's rooms are all looking top-notch. Beautiful! The Sawmill appears somewhat clean. The Knit Wit - well, she's just plain evil! The Flying Bat is working great, slamming down at the end of his track. The Falling Barrels room has taken on new creepiness with the Mummy, who shivers A LOT! The Bat was well-done, and the Balcony looks fine overall. BOLT is surely creepy - if his sound went any louder, I'd turn it up! THE ELECTRIC CHAIR'S SOUND RETURNED TODAY!! Ha ha, I was clapping when I heard it POUND on! The Headbanger's timing is good because he starts going off a fraction of a second before you're right next to him. At least, then, you can see him "bang" a little more! Sorry about the huge update, but today was really an "adjustment" day for me. I took time to enjoy the ride to its fullest! ;D I'm still not sure if a video of the interior will work out, but here's a couple of the facade during the day and night: www.youtube.com/watch?v=T64yf5hBhoQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=lJPvV1oYC_s

Today was another great day ridin' the Haunted House MANY times! I think ALL of the employees were wearing their shirts, orange or black! When I first approached the Haunted House today, I noticed a portrait appeared to be out of place, or moved. I learned later that - as in today's update - it was relocated because THEY PUT IN A NICE SIGN FOR THE WEBSITE IN ITS OLD LOCATION! Ha ha, it's a great sign; I'm so happy they put it up. Before, I would say while sitting outside, "I wonder how many of these people know THIS ride has a website?" Well, now, MANY more will know! During my first ride-through of the day, the employee sending the cars in was wearing his shirt, and, apparently, I was too excited to complement him on it. He woke me up by mentioning mine, ha ha! Also, the hilarious guy from Space Balls came up behind me while I was in line at The Haunted House. He was wearing his orange shirt and I was wearing mine! He took pictures (front and back) of me standing in line with my shirt! Ha ha! ;D The ride was awesome as usual! Something bad happened to the Graveyard area later during the night; not sure if it was rude-rider-related! I took my last ride today! I will miss the Haunted House greatly, but now that I've been through in person since I was young, it refreshes my memory well. Still the perfect atmosphere, still most of the same stunts, of course! I had a great visit!
