Besides the windy weather, what a fabulous vacation I had. I got to meet Brandon and Scott; saw the Headslinger, and of course visit my favorite dark ride!
Ocean City is very different at this time of year; the mornings can be busy, but after the sun sets, everything goes quite. The buildings all close, and rides are all skeletons covered in Gulls. Gusts of wind and dead leaves that come from nowhere fill the air. The Haunted House is especially quite after hours. You really realize how loud it gets (Both inside and out) during operation.
It seems the Reaching Bale is beginning to be a problem. He's stuck forward in his reaching position. Saturday his sound played; On Sunday it didn't. Guess his sound isn't gonna do much if he's not lunging at you.
The new paint is pretty sweet. The Gum Doors are cleaned and now have some paint on them.
The New stunts are pretty sweet. BOLT, the Head Banger, and the New Mummy are all working well.
I will have my POV and other Videos up Tomorrow sometime. I was able to try out the Ripley Mirror maze as well; It's awesome. Especially with the 3D glasses. The Mirrors actually move inside it!

isnt OC in the off-season so cool? of course you can't do anything, but it is just cool walking don the boardwalk with not many people on it. It was to early now, but in mid November, they have this cool thing called "Winterfest of Lights". They close central park to the public and fill it with all of these fantastic Christmas lights. and the boardwalk trams follow a path where you can see all of these fantastic lights. Has anyone else been there?

I wouldn't let it ruin my vacation completely. The Tour didn't cost anything. It was an unexpected and luck of the draw happening. It was odd seeing things up close. Some are smaller then they look and others are pretty big. B.O.L.T. has to be at least a good 7'4". The Lady in the Torture Chamber is probably 5'2". Mr.Stubbz is pretty big too. The Bat is HUGE though...
But yeah, Ocean City gets very quiet after the cold starts to set in. A nice day can be hard to come by during the winter there, but it can happen. The Haunted House opened in January one time I was there. I think this was the last busy weekend of the year. Last week of the season...
Brandon: The forum has so many new visitors, but so few new posts! Come on people! Let's get the conversation started. Summer is almost here!

HHMacabre: Hi everyone! Did I hear word of new additions in the ride? How is the Mineshaft?

Brandon: Yes, there are supposed to be two new effects installed this year. I don't have any insight yet but will share the information once I receive it. I don't think anything has been done with the Shaft.

Brandon: There have also been three additional mini shooting galleries installed around the park. Pics and information to come a later date at ochh.net.
