If you pay close attention, you can see security gaurds all over the ride, like when I rode in 2005, as soon as you go in the ride, I saw a man on a writting desk on the right of me about 5 feet away from the stairs, and also in the hallway going down in the hanging man scene, I saw a guard leaning on the egde of the rim doing something with his blackberry, and even if you watch www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSWWdH1gJuo you can see a guard walking at 4:28 so keep your eyes peeled (I still don't care about spelling)

I remember this. Probably the last time I rode it was ...wow like 2005 or so. But I remember as I was riding up there was someone that was walking by to my left. I figured he was doing maintenance but maybe he was a guard I don't know.

On my first ride, I spoted Cliff Hudson. I can remember seeing someone come through a door, that I'm now almost certain leads to here: The second exit is immediately following the upside-down room on the left. This is considered the back door to the Haunted House, and will bring you out near the Carousel House and the Pirate’s Cove. This door is accessed often by park workers when attending to ride breakdowns or other important matters. This is a passage from this article: notlmpresed.angelfire.com/emergency.htmlI'm pretty certain that's the door. And I'm pretty certaint It was Cliff Hudson. ;D I also saw him outside the HH on a warm morning in January. I'm possitively certain the HH opened that morning. It was so warm. ;D

There are actually zero "security guards". However, the employees stationed in the ride are always looking out for issues. The Haunted House requires a six-man crew. One for ticket boothe, one for ride operation, one for unloading people from the cars at the ride's exit, and the other three are roaming around the inside at all times.
If the employees in the ride should happen to encounter an issue, they would then call the park guards on the radio for assistance.

Has anyone riding this summer noticed an increase or decrease in workers stationed inside the attraction? Usually, they are at the falling beam hill and near the Last Drop.

They were at the falling beam hill starting around 3:00 every day, and one time, they were at the Last Drop. One guy actually followed me through the ride, and played some tricks for fun on me, since I had been riding all day. In the wave room, I turned around, and a worker had the flashlight up making a weird face and illuminating it. He also followed me onto the balcony, and back inside, were he left me near the mummy. He was waiting near the train tunnel, and near the down hill area latter. I guess I became a familiar face, and they thought I need more in the ride, ya know, to scare me...

When I rode the Haunted House with my dad around 2005, I remember spotting an employee watching over us on the Knit Wit Hill, a popular "hiding" area. When that occurred, I realized that the ride wasn't all so bad. If I was an employee, I really would hate sitting in that spot because you can be seen so easily.

It's interesting that there's actually a hidden employee door in the Wave Room--it blends right in, except for the clean trail in the dust leading into the door!!
