Okay folks, time to get down to business and have a serious conversation about the Birthday Party. First, for those who remember Ghost Ship, I want to know if you recollect this stunt in Ghost Ship. Do you have vivid memories of it? There is a small part of me that has a doubt as to whether or not this is a Tracy effect, and where it originated from. I know, I know, that's hard to believe. For one, the cake of this stunt is almost the same cake that was placed on the counter of the mad scientist (below). For one, why would Tracy put a cake in a mad scientist stunt, and two, why would an almost identical cake be included in a different one? Now that we have proof that the third member of the Birthday Party was not originally a part of the cast, I am wondering if for some reason Granville just placed a bunch of random Pirates together to form this bizarre stunt? In all of Tracy's catalogs, this is one of the only stunts that I have yet to see a picture or description for (although, same goes for the Crab and Mermaid and I have definitive proof that it came from Ghost Ship). The Pirate on the right-most side doesn't even have legs, as you can see from this photo: Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hmm....I never thought of it that way before....that sounds like it could be true. The table actually reminds me of this stunt in Kennywood's old Ghost ship: www.angelfire.com/notlmpresed/kennywoodghostship/kwghostshipconcept08.jpgDo you know if the other Ghost Ship had that too? Because the design looks just like it. If so then they just reused that table to compile the Birthday Party. The chair looks a bit similar in style too.

Wow Spooky, great find with the Kennywood stunt. You're right, from the table to the background scenery, it looks VERY similar! Hmmm... I just can't figure out where the cakes would have come from. I will continue to rack my brain!

Pirates or Clowns? That is the question...
Did anyone locate the missing hairpiece yet?

May sound wierd but on my last ride it looked like his hair had been combed down. But with it being a wig....
There is still orange on his head for sure.
I had sunglasses on so I couldn't get a real good look.

1. I find it funny that you had sunglasses on in the ride. Classic.
2. I find it odd that someone would have combed his hair. Maybe he did it? Trying a new style?
3. If you remember, please take a flash picture of the Birthday Party so we can see what's going on.
4. Thanks

I'm taking another POV today and will ride again(gleefully) to get the flash.
(They were prescription sunglasses, better with them on then off. Still looked bad*ss coming out with a pink floyd hat and big dark sunglasses......or maybe it was the tuxedo...)

I would have to say what about the sound effects that were in place in the late 90's, I could of swore when I went on it, and heard in youtube videos. of disgruntled distorted voices saying, Happy birthday.

Great photo. Thanks so much for taking the time to snap it.
I must say, he is more scary without the wig then with. One demented looking SOB.

I can guarentee this stunt never had a sound clip, not in Trimper's Haunted House anyway.

I don't even remember the cake at the mad scientist. Do we know where the cake came from? Was it a tracy prop or... More than likely they were dummy cakes from a bakery that someone had lying around, and someone just stuck them in there.
