Despite the fact that my trip to Paris has to be delayed and put off because my Grandmother is very ill, I'm still gonna do something with my summer...
I plan to get over to Coney Island this Wendsday; just me an a friend; but this itself seems like an adventure. We both just graduated in June, and are going to be wandering the vastness of New York and it's many transportation units by ourselves. It sounds mad fun, but that is if it all goes according to plan; expect me to return with a POV of the Ghost Hole finally; (Hopefully My Camera won't do what it did last time; Some Photos and maybe a new POV of the Spook-O-Rama; and of course; photos, and possibly a POV of the Greatest Roller Coaster on earth; THE CYCLONE; and I plan to visit that new Luna Park and see what it has to offer. Spinning Wild Mouse and Log-Flume anyone?
With this news that my trip to Paris is off as of now; I can only hope to get up to The Haunted House sometime this summer. Who knows? Maybe I'll get up to Hershey as well, that is if my Family still plans to go now that the Paris one is out for now.
Anyone have any other requests while I'm there?

I had a Great Time! While I didn't get around to filming the Cyclone (mostly because I gave up intrest on doing the POV after TheCoasterViews beat me to it in the first HD video) I did film Spook-O-Rama Again and the new "Tickler" coaster at Luna Park...The Ghost Hole Unfortunatley wasn't running today...
But I got photos of it on the Wonder Wheel; Look at the tent on the back:
The Spook-O-Rama got stuck a number of times while I was on it; I got some cool Photos; you can see them here: picasaweb.google.com/MTTBrilhart/ConeyIsland2010#slideshow/5494117254535107234
POV's coming soon...

nice pictures of spook a rama. I wonder how much it coasted you to ride it enough times to get those pictures .those pics are really good but flash was kind of week on the pics of the whole inside of the ride. It's also good to know that non of the tracy props from rockaway beach weren't removed ( but you can't see half of them on the ride without a flashlight). the ghost that falls from the celling really scared me when I went on it, and the electric chair dude's head is gone I guess thats what happens when you let rowdy teens near on old dark ride.

Actually; I believe that the Head riped off due to over-use; The same happened to the one in the Haunted House until they installed the new low-RPM motor. It probably took it's beatings and finally wore down enough to tear off.
I rode it 3 times; One to film it; Two to snap pictures; I could have rode a 4th time but it closed mid-day due to the Wonder Wheel being down for a storm warning. (They closed the whole adult section of the park when it happened)
I'd bet you that only 10% of the gags in Spook-A-Rama actually have lighting and can be seen. There is so much Tracy and Funi Frite Clutter in there you can't see it's not even funny. They have so much they don't use.
They also had a few HH counterparts in there...
- Electric Chair
- Reaching Bale
- Leaper
- Remains of a Vandalized Shivering Mummy
- Head Banger
- Mounted Head on Wall; (Though I have to say there one is better, even if he lacks two buddies, he's been painted with day glow colors)
They Re-Painted the Lobby Wall Mural in Day-Glow Colors which was nice; They had one of those Scare Factory Werewolves too.
Luna Park is great; They Removed that putrid restroom that was there on the lot last year and build a Junior Flume in it's place; They haven't got the Big Flume Open yet, but they had a good selection for a brand new park; The Coney Island Sound ride was interesting; It's like a modern day version of the Kangaroo at Kennywood without the track.
The Cyclone was Awesome as always. 8 rides on it this time around. I tried the front and back seats; both are surreal experiences not for the feint of heart.

ya, I always wondered about the "headless" shivering mummy before you hit the bang doors. I think it's been there for years. the one area after the falling ghost (or leaper) is over crowded with so many stunts (tracy, funi-frite,ect..) you can't get a decant view of any thing exept for the alien, the reaching zombie and some stationary box with a tracy stunt inside. the part after the devil is very empty (or there are stunts without lighting). so I say spread the stunts out around the ride and ad more black lights and lighting and lower the coast or make unlimited ride wrist bands, and you got yourself a much better spook a rama ;D also I don't remember a head banger stunt in the ride

Nice videos! The Electric Chair is pretty funny...imagine if that happened in the Haunted House! Ha ha! Someone would get a big thrill out of the stunt as its head smashes them in the face! Spook-A-Rama seems so overcrowded with stunts...how many "old" stunts are in there??

There are tons of them; you can't see much of them in the lighting during the ride; From Laff In the Dark's Article they seem to have a whole heck of a lot in the shadows.
