Its called wildwest train. It was built in the carousel gift house. Its family friendly kind of ride. But this is interesting! Especially since its customly built!
Its looks inspired by the golden nugget a bit, with the town facade, and the gazebo looking thing over the track.

It is a cool ride, but hardly a dark ride. Actually, all they did was take the kiddie train from outside that used to be near the Wipe Out and move it inside. They built a custom waterfall and rock scenery around the track and made it feel like a midwest train ride. They built two or three facades on the wall to resemble Golden Nugget, as Kyle said.
It is located in the Carousel House in the back portion. To build it, they had to retire two classic kiddie rides; the land boats and motorcycle jump. I will post some photos I took during the construction shortly.

Wait, is the boat ride in the water still there? That ride is my childhood. I will cry if it closed.
Also, I vote for a black light effect it somewhere! I thought I saw a tunnel.....

Aha! Now I see, I thought that track looked familiar. My bad Brandon, thought it was bigger. But its still cool! What are they doing with the space outside where the ride formally sat?

I remember the land boats... ah, the day I was told I was too big to ride them is a day I'll never forget; I was so sad. It's sad to hear they got the boot. I'll have to check it out when I'm there in May.

Brandon, do you know what Trimpers plans to do with the Motorcycle and Boat Ride? They go back even beyond my childhood and I hate the thought of these 2 classics being scrapped or worse. My children have now all outgrown many of the indoor rides except for the bumper cars, I just hate to see such classic and nostalgic rides disappear.

The Motorcycles are one thing; they have the same ride at plenty of parks across the country; the Land boats on the other hand...
...I don't think there is another one of these oldies left in existence...

The rides will most likely be stored at the warehouse, sold as scrap, or parted out. In most cases, old rides tend to end up in Trimper's "Ride Graveyard" at the West OC warehouse property, which is a pile of rides and ride parts that has been growoing over the years. It holds old rides like the Sky Wheel, Wild Mouse, Water Slide, etc. I'll keep you posted with anything I hear.

Ooh it wasn't the boats I thought it was. There is another boat ride where there in water. There are pictures of me 4 years old on them. So much history on these kiddie rides.

So wait, you all seem to be saying it's a dark ride; so does this tunnel lead any further than what I'm seeing here? That really doesn't look like a dark ride; but it's pretty nice looking. I assume it goes along nicely with the boats in the murky pond near the other side of the building, with all it's richly themed goodness.
Props to Trimpers for adding more theme work to make what would just be another kiddie train ride a classy and unique looking ride. Much like the boats in the murky pond across the way, I bet you part of the excitement of this ride is generated by the beautiful scenery accompanying it.
