I actually remember a stunt that was removed about two years ago, and I wonder what happened. I don't think it was an original Tracy stunt. Anyway, it was an old man sitting in a chair or something and when the coffin car rode by he abruptly stood up and a sound clip loudly said "Get out of my house!" I thought it was pretty creepy and it made me jump LOL. Anyway I miss that particular stunt. Anyone know what happened to it?

The stunt you are thinking of was Frankenstein, which resided upstairs just before exiting the ride onto the balcony, across from the Mermaid diorama. As you rode by, an air piston would stand him up and a recorded sound byte, which was the voice of Chris Trimper, would play saying “GET OUT OF MY HOUSE”. This stunt was removed in 2006, and we all miss it!
Thanks for posting!

Why did they take it out?

to replace it with the stunt that always scares you to death--the reaching zombie

well that was silly of them. I hate that thing. I will be sure to tell Chris that next time we are down.

I was (and always will be) a fan of the Crab as you entered back into the building from the balcony. the simplicity of the Crab, along with its complete randomness (a Giant Crab in a Haunted House, with large eyes and mouth with teeth) made it a classic. I wish it would have been kept and restored...
Second on my list would be the Headslinger, of course...

I clearly remmeber Frankinstine from my first ride on The HH. Him standing up and moaning " Get out of my House"... Poor Frank, I assume he ended up in the dump aswell, even though he was Granvilie's Favorite...

The thing is, Frank was basically the same stunt. He jumped-up at you, but Frank was getting old, and I guess he went paraplegic. A stunt that doesn't work is a waste-of-space in a dark ride. (But not in a museum, were he should be...)

Why did they get rid of almost all the Ghost Ship stunts? What was wrong with them? And Frankie, Headslinger, etc.? At least they still have most of the original 1964 stunts.

I too will always fondly remember and miss the crab stunt, which just added to the whacky and random nature of the HH. Man I wish it would come back!!
