Okay, so I was originally under the impression that only Disney was using story lines for there rides. But then you have the Kennywood Manor thing with a plot behind it. Then I came across the information in Laff in The Dark's Knoebel's video straight form the source, thingy Knoebel, that the Haunted Mansion there was originally a story-based ride, and while the ride lost most of it's story after a certain point, it was itemed to use the modern day concept of Dark Ride Story Telling...
Then I wondered...what would the story line be if you decided to use Trimper's HH in it's current state for spawning a tale? Sure, unlike Knoebel's, I'm most certainly positive that Bill Tracy's odd, random, and out of logical order gags were not meant to tell a story, but if so, what would it be?
I'm under the impression that, minus the first room, and starting with the crooked timbers, that this would be the first of what Count Wolf Von Vinderstine described as "Illusions, and Realties" with the almost tilted shape of the hall. Then, as the car enters the next room, we meet the "tricks and traps" the Count said would "turn us upside down, and perhaps, inside out" as a vortex of paranormal energy takes over the house. The Upside down room is a result of the vortex, and after passing through it, the car passes by the jets of green light towards a temporary escape. The house begins to fix it's issues from the vortex as the car heads toward the outside village, were the old mill is. They meet the Knit Witt, and head towards the town graveyard. The cars are thrown into another paranormal vortex, along with a common Bat from the graveyard. The vortex warps the bat's size, causing it to become uncommonly large. The Bat takes off in another direction, and the car is dropped into a uneven path leading Up from the cellar. The Cars are nearly hit by barrels thrown by an angry poltergeist. The Car enters another room of Tricks and Traps. The Wave Room. The car is then taken to a small study, where two of it's residents are apparently unhappy to see you. Luckily, a door leads to the balcony. While outside, the Warped Bat Crashes through the front of the house, leaving a gaping orange hole behind...then it's the wreck room, or the upper floor, were you have way to much in one area to consider a story...
What do you all think happens in a story-like fasion inside the HH?
