I was chatting with my friend yesterday about Kings Dominion in Virgina. They had a scooby doo dark ride but are taking out all the scooby figures and props and replacing it with snoopy( sounds dumb right! It's true. Look at the site!). He said "wouldn't it be crazy if they added scooby theming to that haunted house in OC?". That got me thinking. What if they added cartoon theming to our beloved HH? They added Garfield theming the Old Mill at Kennywood and that was a huge flop. Just looking for your thoughts on that whole idea! Attachments:

That would be a whole nother definition of scary!
It still disturbs me today that Kennywood replaced The Old Mill with Garfield's Nightmare. Kennywood always swaps out rides in that location, so it would be nice to see something useful go in it's place.

Well, maybe if the put a stoned version of Shaggy in as a replacement for the mummy, since they have all that stoner-style hippie paint on the re-entry walls...
But not the whole ride! NO! Scooby and the Gang can go take over morbid manor II. The last thing I want to see in our beloved HH is those meddling Kids, and there dumb Dog!

Now we all know how well known the HH is for it's weird, zany, and out of the ordinary nature. But this would just ruin it and take away from the "old, dark and gloomy" feel that the ride has always had. Keep scooby at KD! I will actually miss that ride at KD, it's always a fun little trip to go through that and blast some ghosts

The only good sallyvorp is the one in Niagara falls. There, the owners of the park took out most of the carboard cut outs and put in stunts like the reaching goul in HH. It's the only ride where it seemed right as a kid dark ride.

Well - whoever did the Garfield ride did an okay job - but some of the stunts were static like the mice and the pot of cat stew - would have liked to see them stirring the pot - frankensausage did nothing - everything was air-operated (could hear the hiss of compressed air) such as the icecream truck that nearly fell backwards - the munching dog with the extremely large teeth and the pizza box. The only thing that gave you a proper shock was the vet's needle which sprayed a little bit of compressed air at you. Thanks to the users who have put this POV up so you can see Garfield's Nightmare:) Nobody however has footage of the Old Mill before 2004
