I did a search on here of the subject and not a single thing came up....Is it against the rules to bring it up?.. ;D.jk....Seriously I just heard of it's existance last year on the laff in the dark site....I've been to Rehoboth once back in the 80's and I don't remember seeing it....I'm positive I would have remembered it but I missed it somehow.....Anyway, I don't see much of a fan base for it like there is here for Trimper's or Knoebels HH so does it suck or what?....It doesn't get mentioned much because like I said, I just found out it existed just last year.....I've seen the pictures and it looks like it would be descent....What are your personal experiences?.....ZR

We have for sure talked about it on here! It was actually my first dark ride ever! (At Age two, long story)
We've compared it the Knoebels Haunted Mansion, and talked about how different it is The Haunted House.
Here are some pics from 2009, and a POV:

Thanks for the pics and video....It looks like it would be a cool ride.....It's the only dark ride I've ever seen that is suspended from above instead of like a pretzel car.....I wish they would open it now like Trimper's so I could go before the hotel rates go through the roof and charge 3 night minimums.....Does anyone know somewhere you can stay after memorial day that's within driving distance of both this HH and Trimper's that is reasonable?......I would like to visit again....Haven't been to OC since 2004......ZR

IDK know if there is anywhere reasonably priced in that extent. But Rehobeth is just about an hour away. It's worth a drive to one night if your down in Ocean City. The Mansion only operates at night. Here are more pictures: It's a very different experience from the Haunted House. It's more like Knoebel's Haunted Mansion in the way that it's so much going on to take in at once.

I would just stay at Trimper's Inlet Lodge for $100 a night with no minimums. Rehoboth is only 45 minutes up the road, not too bad to spend the afternoon up there. Besides, you'd have fun staying at Trimpers... there is always something going on.

Thanks for the additional pics Mike....I thought the first pic was Knoebel's skull room at first glance but realized then it was different.....I'm going to Knoebels in 3 more days so getting a little excited about that!.....Thanks for the info Brandon....$100 a night is definitely do-able....That's around the price I was looking for....ZR

Oc has more going on, starting at trimpers lodge is at the begining of the boardwalk ads the end of costal highway. Rehobeth may be a but cheaper but not much to do at all compared. but like brandon Said diving upto rehobeth isn't bad at all,i have done that plenty of times

I've spent a good bit of time on the boardwalk in the 90's....Not so much lately....Some of my favorite past experiences were mini golf, go carts, walking the boardwalk in the evening, the fries/trying to keep the seagulls from stealing them, the lights at Trimper's, the smells of cotton candy/sweets, watching the kites by the kite shop, going to frontier town and watching the shows, riding the speed boat-didn't enjoy that actually because salt in the eyes burns,Ripley's museum.....The evenings at sunset are my favorite and of course riding in the Haunted House!...I still need to get back to re-experience the Haunted House.... Pirates Cove, and Funland's Haunted Mansion would be entirely new to me....Pretty sure I never went through Pirates Cove either.....ZR

Cool Video.......Are the cars really that noisey or is that just amplified in the video?......Seems to me if it was that loud, it would take away from the experience.....Looks like a cool HH though.....We're still talking about making a trip down this summer so it's possible I may see it firsthand soon!.......ZR

I finally was able to ride this last August. It was pretty awesome! It's just like the HH , in terms of it being overloaded with stunts!

When I was a teenager, our church youth group used to go to Rehoboth every summer for a day trip. I was there when they were building the haunted house. I've tried twice to take my family up there to ride it. 1st time it was too early in the season, 2nd time we found out the hard way that it's only open at night. We still want to make the trip but getting around and parking at Rehoboth is a pain in the arse so I'm not too excited about trying a 3rd time. Not completely ruling it out however.

Since Knoebel's HH was built a few years before, I'm guessing whoever built this one DEFINITELY rode in Knoebels beforehand because there are a few similarities.....especially the skull room....The organ is quite familiar too....I'd still like to go but it doesn't seem very likely this year unfortunately.....On a good note though we'll be going to experience the all new Black Diamond!.....ZR

Well we didn't make it to Knoebels this year but the guy I work with said the Black Diamond ride was pretty cool...I won't rule out going in October yet......Anyway, after Labor Day weekend is the Funland Haunted Mansion closed for the year?.....I'm thinking it is....ZR
