I know, I know...
Trimper's just shelled out great sums of money to make the Haunted House more amazing than it's ever been for the 2012 season. They added more stunts than I can count on all my digits, and the ride looks better than ever. But with all these new additions, it's like a whole new ride. And that's what has me thinking...
Perhaps it's too early to start thinking about additions for the 49th season; but I don't want to forget these ideas I came up with. They are cheap, and would be more than enough for 2013. (Not that we really need to add anything for 2013; the ride has gotten spoiled this year with new presents)
Okay, so my ideas were as follows:
1. Repaint the Crooked Timbers & Spinning Tunnel. They are one of the few areas that haven't been touched up. (Props for everything else getting TLC this year)
2. Touch up the Upside Down Lady. She still has all that silly string in her face; maybe a new comforter would be do-able too. That thing looks Haunted-House worthy; it's dusty, musty, and greenish brown.
3. Add some chandeliers to the new painting corridor/uphill to give it an even more ancestral look. Perhaps they could add some to a few other rooms too. Sorry, I really like chandeliers, and they really add to the atmosphere of a Haunted House.
4. The Wave Room. This is one room I've always felt could better than it is. Perhaps getting rid of the glow paint waves and adding some realistic blue ocean waves. Maybe add a shark to the scene too? Using lights similar to these: www.zzounds.com/item--ADJH20250EX On the waves, I think it would be perfect to set up a scene in the next room...
5. Restore the Mermaid. Sure, even if she can't spin; using one of those lights on her diorama would give her more than enough life. A little re-painting, a new wig, and she'd look good as new! And she'd replace that rite aid vampiress! Perhaps she could use a sound-byte too...
6. Of course, I'd love to see one, *or both* of the Bill Tracy Zombie strippers animated on a turn table. Perhaps a sound-byte could be use too? Some smooth jazz, and a feminine voice saying "Come closer", than a terrible scream when she turns around.
I know it's a lot; but they are just ideas. Just throwing them out there...
