I was just thinking of the haunted house and how it's weirdness engulfs your every thought. I'll even set the scene here: your walking around the boardwalk, maybe it's day or maybe night, taking in the flashing lights, loud and kooky sounds, diverse people, and great food scents. Then, you decide to go in. All of the normal thoughts of the outside world just disappear briefly as you spend those five, fearful minutes in the haunted house. The dark corridors, mind boggling structure, musty smell, and bizarre creatures make you forget all about life on the outside. Then, as you exit and start hearing the lobby organ music playing, you slowly come back to reality and rational thinking. And you realize slowly that your now back in a less strange environment. Many of the easily scared types probably welcome this time, but if I had it my way, I'd probably stay in there! ;D
