I'm curious since the condo craze has also hit OC MD like it has Wildwood, NJ have any mini-golfs been sacrificed for condos? If yes, how many?

Luckily, the majority of the mini-golf courses have been saved. The Old Pro Golf Courses, which there are several of, are OC’s best mini-golf courses and remain strong additions to the town. There was a course called “Polar Golf” which was down near the inlet that was torn down in early 00’s for condos, and Trimper’s Old Towne Golf was demolished to make way for the ‘Freak Out’ and other small rides. The trend in OC seems to be that restaurants like Embers and Dough Roller are buying parcels besides their facilities and building their own in-house courses, which they would title in conjunction with the name of the restaurant: “Ember’s Island Mini Golf”, “Dough Roller Mini Golf” etc. Are these lucrative?—Well, your guess is as good as mine. There are several courses like this that exist today. I am happy to say, as a true mini-golf fan, that the majority of the courses have remained untouched thus far.
