I am fed up with these youtube bastards who insist on leaving vulgar and negative comments on videos that were posted to be inspiring, valued and appreciated by those who have the same appreciation for the subject matter as the author/poster. Why is it that these losers insist on leaving their 2 cents about things they obviously don’t care about? My message is simple: If you do not have anything positive to say, don’t say anything at all! Don’t try to bring down others to satisfy your own lack of self esteem, and likewise, don’t throw mud on videos that so many others value and respect.
So many dark ride videos I have visited have negative and unnecessary comments, and it is frustrating. I am sure that if I were to leave a filthy message on their punk rock band or juvenile stunts video, they would be offended as well. So, do me a favor and give it up. Go find something to do, or maybe, make your self useful and go donate some time at the local homeless shelter.
Thanks. ;D

Yeah, it's pretty low. They're just a bunch of overly spoiled, jaded teenagers who'd rather be drinking or attending the latest PG-13 "horror" movie. I can't understand either why they waste their time doing that. But then again think of much time they waste everyday "hangin out" at the mall. Sorry if I tend to sound hateful but it's just my 2 cents!

youtube comments are almost always thoughtless and ignorant. i have a video that gets comments ever day and it's a chore to constantly censor spam and other nonsense.
i don't know what people expect for $3. a full-blown disney attraction? the world? haunted houses are supposed to be a mixture of quick surprises, bizarre scenes and some humor. enjoy that it's even there. find delight in simple things. these things are lost on teens, though, they live in their own sheltered, self-centered world.

It’s not only dark ride videos, but I also search for a lot of videos by musicians, especially drummers, and it amazes me how rude some folks are towards them. Some of the people in the videos are only 13 or 14 and are still learning their instrument, and viewers leave messages like “you suck dude. Go find something else to do that you’re good at.” This society is getting so awful. I am worried about how this place (our little spinning rock) will be in 40 years when this generation is running it. Seems the decent folks will be few and far between…

I noticed that as well Brandon. Seems like dark rides aren't the only ones taking all the whiny teen heat. I watch a lot of drumming videos too (being a fellow player myself) and I always try and be as supportive and friendly towards the posters of the videos as I can be, and it's partly in an attempt to balance the levels of negativity. And it too worries me to think of the 'now' generation being in charge one day. How will the world be when it's being run by a bunch of lazy, arrogant, self centered, immature people who just want something for nothing and to get it before the next guy? I hate to be a downer but it just might be the beginning of the end, if you perceive it as I just have! Scarier than any dark ride if you ask me!...

Brandon, I know what you mean. I think I have the most HH videos of anyone on YouTube, and every one of them has had childish, vulgar, & sexually obscene messages left in the comments section. Tonight I had to erase one that totally p****d me off; it was so crude that I can't even repeat it here. I was irritated enough to go to this guy's channel and post a message in his comment box. asking him why he leaves obscene messages on other's videos, and then told him to get lost. I then blocked him from returning to my channel, though I expect he'll try to leave me some sort of trash on my site somewhere. Guess what his YouTube name is? Pimpaho29! A true sign of brilliance, huh? Sadly, I must say that the worst comment I received was one concerning the torture chamber: "Ha Ha she got raped!" Yow! I had no idea that the concept of raping a woman would be found by any rational person to be funny! The horrors of the HH are nothing compared to this sort of mentality. I simply don't understand why owning a computer keyboard makes some folks feel that they have a right to be rude, insulting, & offensive. The little cowards would never dare to be such cretins if they weren't hiding behind the safety of their laptops. And NO, Sean! We don't mean you!

Exactly Jim! I patrol my videos daily and if I see anything that would offend anyone, it is gone immediately. I also patrol the videos of my fellow enthusiasts, especially those that are listed on my site. I am glad that you are taking care of these problems. Some folks, for whatever reason, don’t bother to erase unnecessary comments. Life is simply too short to offend other people’s efforts. I am frightened for this generation of youngsters, although, I am hopeful that there are enough decent internet-goers to balance out the idiots…
Keep up your good work. Your videos are an asset to Youtube and the website!

You should see all the young people line up for the haunted houses at Dorney Park in Sept./Oct. I always look forward to them because normally, Dorney Park no longer has any dark rides. The last dark rides were removed late 1992 and 1993/1994 off season. The old Pretzel dark ride (Bucket O' Blood previously Pirate's Cove 1962-1974) burned Sept. 1983. There was a Bill Tracy Whacky Shack walk-through that burned Dec 1973. Now, they have a Whacky Shack type funhouse for Sept./Oct. haunt event. Plus the 3 other haunted houses, 1 is new this year, Club Blood. The Gold Mine/Arcade building was torn down a few years ago for a Subway sub shop, there was a Subway in the upper corner of the old building. The Gold Mine closed around 1984, and was in the basement of the 100 year-old building. It had caves, bloody hand on cave wall, room with rickety bridge, golden rotating tunnel with wavy lines, and strobe jail room like Trimper's Pirate's Cove. Bill Tracy redid all the old Dorney dark rides, the Whacky Shack and Gold Mine were created by him from scratch using existing buildings. Bob Ott former Dorney Park president/chairman 1967- May 1985 first employed at the park 1937 and worked the Pretzel dark ride knew Bill Tracy and worked with him for the dark rides. Bob passed away March 4, 2007 at 88. I met him twice, at the park and an old historical house for Dorney Park book signings. About the annoying teens, many of them don't know the history behind these dark rides and get bored easily, so vandalism happens. Sometimes they'll say it sucked. I'm going to show you this pic of the insane line at Dorney Park for the Scream Works haunted house last year. bp0.blogger.com/_cVF2LlOx6Zc/RyTwHDdu29I/AAAAAAAACLk/HVcuJ8cEZJI/s1600-h/DP.10.27.07.2.jpg Who says millennial teens (born 1980's and up) aren't interested in haunted houses? I've seen a good line at the OC HH several years ago. Well, maybe today's teens are jaded in that they haven't had much exposure to dark rides due to a large number of them disappearing from parks in the 80's, 90's, and 2000's and more thrill rides and mega coasters being built at parks. So, they don't care about them as you would expect. But, major parks are doing the Halloween thing with special haunted house attractions, so parks that don't normally have dark rides now have something for the fall. the reason why they put negative comments on dark ride videos is because most of them are lost in their own worlds of school, the latest music, and the pressures of teen life so dark rides would be the last thing on their minds except for the few die hards. Also, to them, dark rides like the HH would "suck" to them because they expect more in today's advanced technology world. Maye that's why Scotty put in new modern stunts, to make it appealing to the younger generation?
