who doesn't love a good turn of phrase?
"he left like a bat outta hell" at least has some nice HH-related imagery...
some personal favorites include "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" and "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" (although who really knows what that means?)
anyone else have some good ones to share? extra points if they have dark imagery, appropriate for an HH forum post!

Ahhh, Bran, I see that you are also a regular at Don's place! in fact, from your "meet the author" section i'd say you're a dead ringer for jesse walsh! ("dead ringer" - yet another example of a dark idiom... mwahaha)
