I went to OC for July 4th (We own a condo on the boardwalk on 4th street so its easy to stay there) and I rode the HH once. The flying bat (not the facade bat) was broken, it stayed stationary instead of flying towards you. But when you go by the sawmill, it now has a saw blade sound and a scream! And after finding out the bathroom's sound was working, and now the sawmill. This leads me to believe that they are fixing the sounds, one by one...
Who knows, maybe we will be hearing a "Watch out for the falling beam!" soon...
I have a few questions though (Brandon is probably the only one that could answer this...), the first is that two of the cars yesterday had their front ends elevated, as if they were on an incline. Do you have any idea why? Maintenance, maybe?
My other question is about the falling barrels. After they tip and the lights go out, how do they set themselves back again? Do the two upper barrels set at two different times? Or is there some thing hidden that makes the sound that they fall? Because they make a pretty loud sound, and I wouldn't think that those barrels would make that loud of a noise based on how much they lean...
Since you get to take some tours of the HH lately, do you think that the next time you do that. You could take some videos of the stunts and how they recover to scare the next set of visitors with the lights on...
Also, I was wondering, in the spinning tunnel. The illusion makes you feel as if you were spinning the opposite way of the fabric the tunnel is made of. But the unfortunate riders before you are sent spinning into a never ending vortex are spinning the same direction as the fabric, so its odd that you feel like you are spinning the opposite way of the "Riders" in front of me. So what I guess I am saying is, if they reverse the tunnel or the riders' direction. They will make the illusion cooler...
