This is something interesting I wonder sometimes and I'd like to hear what all my forum comrades have to say or think about it. Well, sites like Laff in the dark, DAFE, and our beloved trimper's haunted house have documented the existence of many dark rides past and present in great detail so that we all can share in the memories of them, especially if they have met their demise. But what I'm wondering is, what about the other obscure walk throughs, pirate's cove wannabes(?), good old fashioned spook houses, and maybe even other Haunted Houses like trimper's, that went unnoticed and met a silent end? Sure, there's plenty of information on the aforementioned sites, but I'm sure there are tons of old dark rides that went unnoticed and met a silent and non-mournful end, because there was no internet to share them on when they shut down, or simply because nobody thought they were worth looking twice at. Other factors could of contributed to their end too, like fires/damage, the park closing down, or lack of patronage. Again, this is something that really gets my imagination running, and maybe we should all try to come up with a way to grab people's attention, in the hopes that they'll bust out some old school photos they have of these "forgotten spook houses"...
