I'm sorry to hear of Granville's passing. Will this affect the park in any way, or will the park continue as usual with the younger family members running it? He owned the Haunted House, didn't he?

The park’s operation will undoubtedly change considering the company’s owners will be new. Trimper Rides (Windsor Resorts), which is the family company owned by share holders, will be under a new management structure, while Granville’s personally-owned company, Trimper’s Amusements (which includes the Haunted House), will be under new ownership and management all together, most likely spilt three ways between his three children.
The average ride-goer will probably not recognize any change, unless the new owners decide to sell some of the property and downsize the park.

Chris Trimper will have a very large part in the operation, I'm sure...

Yeah, I fear the day when Trimper's decides to close and sell the property for a quick buck to build condo's, and the other Trimpers decide they no longer want to run the Haunted House, since it was Granville that kept it going (and the Hudsons). I hope the family can come to an agreement and keep the park going for years to come, it's over 100 years old. Is there any new news about the uncertain future of the park? Was the tax problem taken care of? It would be a crime to lose both the Haunted House and Pirate's Cove. There's only 9 Bill Tracy attractions left operating.

Don't say that.
I just think we should enjoy the time Trimpers has right now, and then be sad when the time has come.

I agree with you, Troy. Let's enjoy it while it lasts. Nothing lasts forever, and no website or photo gallery will ever be able to replace the smells, the sounds, and the sights of reality.

There's only 9 Bill Tracy attractions left operating. I believe the tax problem was solved quite a while ago... I'm sure we are going to lose a part of the park or maybe just a few rides. Which part/rides? I have no clue... Though I'm usually not this pessimistic (I'm usually a "The glass is twice as big as it should be" guy ), maybe the election has put me in a bad mood. But I don't want to get into detail about that. This is a dark-ride fan-site anyways...

Well whenever a place, whether it be a restaurant, amusement park, or bar is under new management, major changes to the familiar are always inevitably going to happen. I hate to sound like a pessimist, but usually that change is much to the dislike of all the people who are regulars and love it for what it was. Let's just cross our fingers and pray that we get at least one last good summer in of the Haunted House before any major changes occur or before it meets it's last days.
