Well, tonight my family talked a little about going down to Ocean City...maybe in July...Let's hope for the best! It's about a seven-hour trip. The Holiday Inn is where we stayed the last few years we went, and their rates per night are outrageous!

Hope you can make it down. I can't think of anyplace down there that isn't outrageous during the season. You may want to check into cabins at Fort Whaley. It's about 10 miles west in the Fort Whaley Camp Ground. Not sure what there seasonal rates are but the cabins are pretty nice. It's gotta be cheaper than a hotel room. Of course, we camp at Assateague State Park which can be its own adventure.

Cool.
We have a nice High-Definition video camera, so it would be great to take a video of the ride.

Sounds great. Hopefully I can get down there this summer; with all the planing going into my voyage overseas to Disneyland Paris, I hope I could get at-least a weekend down there...

lol, why the hell would you want to go to Paris? there are 2 Disney parks in USA, (and they probably wouldn't even let Americans in the park )

You can say all you want Troy, But I've been to Disneyland in California, and Walt Disney World in Orlando. As far as my oppion goes on which is better, It's The original; and my oppion counts since I can say I've visited both. That being said...
Disneyland Paris has been said by many to be THE best of Disney's Parks. The reasons seem mighty convincing...
- A Real Roller Coaster in Space Mountain And Big Thunder, none of this dubbed-down family coaster-crap.
- A non-movie-destroyed Pirates of the Caribbean, that is until 2012, but which I will luckily be able to see. No Johnny Depp, not Babossa, no David Jones; just pure original Pirates; Heck, they even have the old fat rapist pirate still in Paris:
And they have three, count em, three, drops, two of which are fairly big...WDW's 5 foot fall is nothing...
- A Scarier Take on The Haunted Mansion; PHANTOM MANOR
- The Largest (Per Square Foot) Version of The Magic Kingdom Park in any Disney Resort World-Wide
- A Unique version of almost every attraction which prior-to Disneyland Paris, were carbon-copies at most...
But you would only come back with, "Oh, where is Expedition Everest" the single most un-worthy rip-off of the Matterhorn, and "Where is the Rock'n'Roller Coaster, or Tower of Terror" which, just so you know, both reside in Paris too...
You'd never understand, you seem to be from the typical Orlando and Ocean City Based vacation family that resides all over Maryland. Not that that's a bad thing; but saying one thing is better than something you've never seen or tried is a pointless argument.
Oh, and most of the non-French Disneyland Paris visitors are American; so I doubt they'd drop half their yearly revenue to deny me a visit...

yup, allot of people may disagree with what you think, but i think that it would be cool to visit phantom manor (lol, Vincent price even did the narration for that ride) it's just that the ones in US arent that different. i would recommend for you going to Ceader Point in Ohio, but then again, your opinion

I have a high-tech HD camcorder that shot videos in a strange format YouTube doesn't accept... So we went through a confusing process, randomly choosing many different formats to convert into, in order to see if the final product appeared OK on YouTube. That was pretty horrible! But now, I'm getting a simpler, but still HD camera, which has a feature to upload directly from the camera to YouTube. Much easier! So I'll definitely film the heck out of the ride in late July!

Filming anything Dark in HD usally doesn't turn out good at all, unless you have a Sony Multi-Lens camera; which are bookoo-bucks. I think the restored stuff looks just as good anyway.
